A lyrical genius, with a kick and a giggle he gains your trust. With an assault and a good punch he told you how it was. Though some will bash now as they feared him in his physical form. He wouldn't care he'd say fu*k'em, as he has now returned to dust. Yet his Logic lives on...

The worst music possible for Carlin. I like the emotion displayed, and it's completely undone by this crap music.
@The22on6 жыл бұрын
I've produced many videos for advertising. I won't comment on the music in this video, except to say that the purpose of music is to support the visuals with an emotional element. It can be happy, sad, serious, important, etc. If enough people agree with you that the music is not supportive of the subject, the video producer has failed. The biggest mistake that producers make is putting the music up too loud (like in this video). When music competes with dialogue, it's an amateur's mistake. The levels may sound great in the silence of a control room, but in the outside world, it's never a pure listening environment. I've heard commercials while driving where I could barely understand the announcer because the music bed was too loud. When that is added to traffic noise, rain, etc. the advertising message is lost. Even if you hate commercials (which I do, even though I work in that business) it's a shame when a company pays tens of thousands of dollars to produce a commercial and buy air time only to have the thirty seconds go by and the audience not know what the hell the product was! My rule of thumb for people mixing their own videos is: Mix it down until you think the balance between background music and on-screen dialogue is perfect. Then, pull the music fader down to half of what you had it. If you had a perfect mix with the music at level 6, you'll have a better mix at level 3 (or 4 maximum). You will say, "I can barely hear any music at all" and I'll say, "You're learning!"

@chapmaned You can call it New Age and label it that way but man I bet you've never had a powerful psychedelic experience, or even a profound spiritual one without psychedelics (perhaps with meditation or fasting or lucid dreaming, etc) These types of things have made me feel and understand the point of view that "everything is one" or that "we are all one" (We meaning us humans, meaning consciousness, I see it more as "everything is one" because of the experiences ive felt).
@mikeisapro13 жыл бұрын
@chapmaned Besides, I said "or even a profound spiritual [experience] WITHOUT psychedelics". They are not the only way to achieve states of mind that allow you to percieve things differently and look at things in other perspectives..
@mikeisapro13 жыл бұрын
@chapmaned Uh, no. He enjoyed cocaine (which resulted in a few heart attacks) and psychedelics as well. He has talked about them (psychedelics).
@mikeisapro13 жыл бұрын
@chapmaned My whole point is that psychedelics aren't addictive (OR habitual), yes a lot of legal drugs and some illegal ones are physically addictive and psychologically habit forming, but I try to minimize/moderate using or just flat out not using, those drugs. (I am addicted to nicotine, it's bad for ya alright) But I don't use psychedelics or psychedelic plants very often.at all.

@chapmaned I'm sorry to tell you but this is simply ignorance. Ever heard of a shaman? Even earlier than that, animals have always eaten psychoactive things in foods/nature. It wasn't just in the AD1900's and 2000's (lol).
