For those who “feel more” or more inclined to be sensitive we may not have known/know this is an option. The awareness, respect, space for emotions is almost a brand new phenomenon for the masses at large. Language and context largely from the social sciences and spiritual or religious sects is only newly common place or accepted in mainstream popular culture. If you were psychologically inclined or spiritual but a bit too far reaching you’d be labeled anywhere from sensitive, to bipolar, to a religious fanatic or witch. Being conscious of our needs nevermind the need to process whether alone or with another or others is new. Consciousness at this level has been somewhat of a privilege before now. But generally peoples needs will always defer and vary. We should respect it. I always feel grateful to be living in a time as this as a millennial because 20 years as a young teen I had absolutely no language to express my experiences. I just had AOL AIM, my PCP, my lil friends, shitty guidance counselors and a traumatized religious family.
