So a lot of people have been saying DK's design was based more on the movie but the more I look at it, no everyone's designs are more based on the 2d artwork made of the characters by Shigehise Nakaue ever since like 2020, which might have played a part in DK's movie design. You can see it in other characters in the trailer. Yoshi's got more prominent eyelids, Toad's face is bigger, Bowser's head is smaller and longer, and everyone is more saturated in the colors department. It looks like everyone is a 3d version of their 2d artwork which looks great. Incredibly excited for this game

Later in the trailer (when you see Marion from the front), you can spot abandoned sections of the same track in the background. My guess is that the Mario Bros. Circuit is actually closed, and the racers are rerouted onto the highway instead!

My hot take fan theory about Mario Bros. Circuit is that it's based on Super Mario Bros. 1-1 in the same vein as the Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage where it's just a big empty desert. It's like they took that concept from Smash and made it into a race course.

What i also found in the trailer where 2 specific karts i found in the trailer: 1. The one rosalina drives looks a lot like the Snow Skimmer introduced in tour. 2. The one toad drives looks like the Monster quad used in the famicom game 3D hot rally, the one where nario and luigi drin in on the boxart.

My number 1 wish is we get a mario circuit in the special cup that goes wild with the mario theming, incorparating tons of areas from tons of different games into the track as a massive segmented track, like you could start at 1-1 and at the end you go into the 1-2 pipe and come out in bomb omb battlefield and at the top of the mountain theres a launch star that sends you up to good egg or gusty garden galaxy and then you take another launch star and end up in yoshi star galaxy from galaxy 2 and driving into the volcano and ending up in a section based off corona mountain from sunshine before finishing off with a section in new donk city that concludes with you going back to the start through the new donk city cinema This is just a theoretical idea but id love a mario circuit themed around mario; the series rather than mario; the character
