Waydi can groove, problem is he's doing the Larry thing of trying to hit everything and that forces you to be stationary/robotic like a dancer like BluPrint tends to be. Never been a fan of Icee and frankly he's overrated and him dancing during Waydi's turn was a bitch move. It shouldn't have gone to an extra round since Icee won 2/3 of the first set.

Metal, I kno 2020 has been a slo year for dance so i appreciate your take on this much-commented-about battle.....I myself have watched it tooo many times but your analysis gives a truly fresh take on it and has even changed my opinion of the same battle......I'm almost of the opinion that Icee even recognized Waydi's lack of energy-to-match and may have been trying to give Waydi a way out (this sentiment will not go over well with true Waydi fans, I'm sure).....even though his (Icee's) approach to it made it look like an obvious intrusion to Waydi's set.....(disrespectful to say the least...)...peace

Waydi looked like he was either too tired or couldn't get a groove with r the first and third song. The difference between those rounds and what he did in the second is night and day. But even in the second you can see fatigue set in. Lot of times I see Waydi, when he finds that pocket and gets that reaction he stays in it but he let off the gas twice and I can only see it because of him running out of gas. They didn't need a 4th, Icee 2-1. Icee just makes this shit seem. So effortless like I could do it, then I fall on my ass trying to glide.
