The first house is in pristine condition with tons of built in charm! It hurts my heart that it has been destroyed!! The stained glass in the 3rd home was kind of alienesque and the fireplace was gorgeous!

It does make you wonder when its a deceased estate, that the previous owners would be rolling in their grave if they'd see what's going to happen to this absolutely stunning example of the 50s. All the sweat, tears, memories and hard work makes a home of such beauty as this❤ But documented now I'm sure they're cheering you on!

First home was a Great quality 50s House, the corner windows by the fire, a old hardwired clock( when they got old the buzz from the motor would drive you strange) built in valance for the draperies.. I had a neighbor who used to use a pasta maker and had linguine drying hung over a broomstick in her porch. homemade tomato sauce and preserves as well. Can just see the old owner of the seond place out there pressing his grapes as well Cheers.

Loved all three! That shed/shop has every frig the house had it seems. Amazing! My dad had a building from the military base nearby that he used for his man cave long before we called them that. The base was where he served in the army and you could buy old buildings cheap if you moved them. It was the hang out for all the men folk esp in winter. He had all the old appliances and furniture as well as tools, tv, etc. Not sure exactly why he quit using it but it kind of sat there for some years. He had a stroke in 2009 and for some reason he wanted that building gone. The roof was leaking and it was getting moldy. We have video of him driving his electric chair around in circles on the cement pad. He passed in 2013. Such bittersweet memories. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

Well Paul you've done it again three great homes but the best was the 50's home. I just fell in love with that one and the table tucked away. It would be great to be able to build 50's house today they had so much cupboard space not like the modern blocks today. Thanks again Paul three great videos.

What a beautiful home!!! Breaks my heart to see it go, especially after someone put all new flooring... And it's amazing that the family approved of your explore!! You do everything with the utmost respect. 💕 For the folding table in the laundry, the legs swing out. 😉 The 2nd house was probably stunning in it's youth too. It's a shame for all that fruit goes to waste. Really curious about #3, gorgeous stained glass & fireplace juxtaposed to doorways being ripped apart...

The first home was loved, and so clean. It reminds me of my in-laws house. A lot of the same colors. They had the original bathrooms in the house. (blue & pink) They had their house built in the late 50s. It was sold when they died 2019. The house flippers gutted it except for the hardwood floors. My mother-in-law would have been sad. She took such pride in her home. They raised 4 children in that small (by today)house. Btw not in Australia, in Alabama. I am happy to see that someone is saving items from these homes.

Having grown up in late 1940 and 1950 homes, house no1 was wonderful history for me. I think no1 was a high end build for the time, hence the quality wardrobes, cupboards etc. The Smiths 240 volt wall clock is iconic for the 1950s and '60s. The company I worked for from the early 1960s was a distributor and servicing agent for the Smiths clock manufacturing company ... if I saw one of those at a market I'd 'grab it with both hands'!

I love the way in the times of the past they paid attention to the entry with pillars and designs of the entryway to the home. I did like the original style of the home with very few changes to it’s original home. Again sandstone, love it. What a shame to lose such beautiful history. I would hope the one good thing is they do save some of the pieces to use elsewhere I’m sure at a price.

Urban Exploring with Kappy explores old homes in the US. Many of the homes are in rough shape though but he does find some with beautiful details. Sometimes he will show other homes in his neighborhood.

All this is really depressing but... the beautiful floorboards, do they take them out and resell them? What I mean is here in the states people will often buy old floorboards from homes that have been demolished and put them in new homes or houses they're refurbishing or whatever. Do they do that down there? That first house, it's criminal. It's 10x nicer than my 1945 house, and I only have 1 bit of art deco work in the kitchen. (I did buy mine from the original owners' kids after the parents died.)

Thank you Paul for an interesting explore of three lovely gold gems, all from different eras. The first home 🏡appeared to be structurally well built for the early 1950s and would no doubt be an Art Deco home lovers dream purchase. I absolutely love the stone facade of the Federation Villa 🏚and would have been an ideal home to restore. Even the Bungalow had character and so much to offer if restored back to glory.🏚😊
