It seems those 270 gx engines are good candidates for performance build up grades. Plus they have those wet clutch transmissions that are built strong. Should be some interesting videos.
@Nograc_5 жыл бұрын
Yes yes they are very good candidates
@mightress4 жыл бұрын
They can be used on gx200 too. Most indoor kart centres run them here. Indestructable clutches basicly. They outlast 4 engines easy before a rebuild is needed.

Now that you have some Go kart`s to spare, it is time we got to see a 2stroke build. Put a 125, 250 or a 300cc dirt bike engine on one of those go karts.
@austinsears16375 жыл бұрын
I second that idea!!! PLEASE USE A NICE BANSHEE ENGINE FOR A SHIFTER CART BUILD!!! YOU GUYS WOULD GET SO MUCH RECOGNITION N MADD PROPS!!! Oh and I'm almost crying watching you guys getting all them free karts'n'parts... Just having a HOOT!
@AirCooledPictures5 жыл бұрын
A cr500 gocart would be deadly
@ROTAXD5 жыл бұрын
supertedogpriken I’d rather see a 2 stroke small bore twin snowmobile motor on a kart. That being said, these guys are likely not capable of properly jetting a sled engine let alone using anything but a pos go powersports cvt setup. A 77 Rotax type 354 would be a monster of properly set up on a kart.
@supertedogpriken5 жыл бұрын
@@ROTAXD when they went to a big go kart/ mini bike meet some months ago, they tried a go kart with a snowmobile engine in it. And right after they tested it both sat in there car over hyped and full of adrenaline and promised us that they where going to do a snowmobile engine build..... But i kinda lost faith in that. been commenting on almost every video since then about a snowmobile engine go kart but NOTHING has happened..... Any Rotax engine would be amazing on a go kart(long travel suspension buggy) Dont care if it is not the biggest or the fastest engine. Just do a 2 stroke build.
@rickfeith63725 жыл бұрын
I think a Banshee engine would be superior. Much smaller pistons to retqin that signature 2 stroke power curve. The big block one lung 2 strokes are definitely more linear...which isn't a bad thing, but they don't wind out as much. They also don't require as much shifting, you can just stick it in 3rd and tractor out of the turns on torque alone. A Banshee twin on the other hand still has that no/go powerband, and they can make triple digit power with a strokey +4 mil crank. Also has the benefit of a 6 speed gearbox. Either way would be just flat out gnarly though, I guess it all comes down to driving style and preference. The main issue with karts of this power is grip anyway, so getting the power to hook might be difficult. I guarantee even a bone stock 250 smoker from an older motocross bike would be a handful.
@Nepatez5 жыл бұрын
I propose ike and john and maybe a couple other friends each take a cart, and do a build off like what was gunna happen a couple years ago, same engine same frame just fix em up and rip em around a track

I still don’t get who puts the time/energy in to “dislike” a video, any video. Just-don’t-like-it. “Dislike” is the PC version of “hate”. Nothing against the Predator engines for the price point though. Anyway, what's that song!? Definitely a good summertime cruising song ;)

Those wet clutches with reduction are awesome and close to indestructable. A lot better than the simple ones you use quite often. Downsize is the size of them but they are strong and you can tune them to the engine you use with more or less weights.
