@@fredlabonte8946 Jup sadly it is. As goes for so much. I drive a 2017 Suzuki nowadays and an 1985 190d. It surprising how much those 2 have in common regarding build quality and serviceability. I know Suzuki is not everybody's cup of tea as they tend to do everything quite old fashioned (with still impressive fuel economy!) But that's exactly what I like about them. A wheel is round, a knob is a knob, a radio a radio, and you don't need to dig out a stupid oil filter as that is on a relatively modern Peugeot for example.

The 122 really was a very beautiful car during the 1960's. Where I come from namely Malaysia...this 122 was known as "The Doctors' Car". I admired this car so much even when I was a teen during the 60's. Then in the 70's, Volvo upgraded the 122 to 144...it was so beautiful. I remembered my neighbour bought a new 144 and brought me for many rides. The 144 was really spacious andso comfortable. Thank you so much guys for letting me see this beautiful Volvo 122.😅

The old Volvos were indestructible, thick metal and bomb-proof motors, a total tank. Volvos after 1971 didn't have the legendary solidly built reputation, I own a 1972 Volvo 144S in yellow and a 1976 Volvo 244S in Green and the cars would break and be in a garage ever 2 or 3 weeks, and in those days service at the dealer was quite expensive. The reputation of the indestructible 1960's Volvo has been tarnished forever. My favorite Volvo was the Roger Moore (of the Saint) 1966 Volvo 1800, what a sports car. The good old days.
