What I am always fascinated in design is the idea behind it, making something out of nothing and making people look professional, help them express themselves. Before I somehow got here I was only looking for tutorials online and I was sure there is nothing else. Like.. someone will tell me something I don't know to finish my job and there was nothing exciting about it, no story, no background. I would say that the most unique thing in these videos is that you teach but I feel like we do this project together and it is fun. I am slowly getting back to designing (for myself and family now), I downloaded adobe apps and bought crayons, brushes today to sketch on paper but I have Procreate and Affinity on iPad. I am planning my creepy online project because I love horror movies and it all started with choosing backgrounds, fonts, music, sound effects, stock pictures and videos, doing the list of potential film topics. I did 'album cover' to start it somehow and find the color palette, the style of everything I will put out. Now I am working on templates in photoshop and video software to make video production faster. I want to start on tiktok, I wasn't there yet but I also think about youtube and podcast. I did not make a typical mood board but saved a lot of youtube videos I liked, movie trailers from 80s, 90s to keep somewhere the vibe I want from my videos. It sounds like so much work but it pays off. Something well prepared will get viewers attention faster. It is worth to take time and not post unfinished stuff.

I would suggest going on 'Udemy' for really in-depth courses about how to use the software, so like courses on adobe Illustrator, then for more of the theory side it's worth checking out the courses on Skillshare, they have some great ones! Hey Abi! Just a question - do you always present 2 mood boards or just 1 is enough (based on loads of brand strategy/research)? Just thinking about the 1 concept method ... not sure if 2 mood boards is always necessary? Would love to hear your thoughts, thank you!

I present 2, with them having slightly different styles. This just allows the cleint to see the 2 different creative directions I envision for the brand and allows them have the final say on the direction of the brand :)

Hello Abi! I love all your videos, I like the way you explain everything very detailed. I am a student of advertising and I am very interested in brand identity. Could you make a video explaining the sizes of the work month when creating a logo? In what size is it delivered to the client and what size should I use to adapt it to the different social networks. This topic has me a bit confused. Some tell me that it is in letter size and others in 1080*1080, to design a logo. Thanks in advance!

I have a video coming out in the next few weeks that’s goes over the whole process of things like this ☺️ but because there’s a lot of information required for each stage I’m actually in the process of creating a super in-depth course for designers about the entire process which includes everything like this, so keep an eye out for that this year!! I know it can be confusing and hard to nail systems and processes so want to make it easy for designers!!☺️
