I got my BR160 yesterday for around 1200, they got em for 1500,1600! and I love it!

Blueridge does make great guitars. Back when I was deciding which one to get, between 2 different brands, I ended up getting the Recording King RD-328. I love the sound of mine too and it's got that Martin HD-28 look and sound without the $3500.00 price tag.

Great playing! I was looking at one of these a year ago but I had a bad fall over 7 years ago and the dreads are so hard for me to reach around. I just bought at BR 361 parlor guitar a couple months ago! IT IS UTTERLY AMAZING! Thank you for your great review and video.

@@anthonybonnette Anthony, I really love that little 361 more and more each and every time I get it out of its case. That and the cases are very nice high quality too. I bought mine through Maury's Music in Coaldale,PA. I have bought two guitars off Maury and he is a fabulous dealer . When he sends out a guitar it is gone over and checked before he sends them. Then he will set it up with what ever you desire as far as upgrades etc. Next time you are buying,contact Maury and give him a shot. He is one of the very few I would buy online guitars from.

I have the BR 140A. I love how they don’t have all the inlay on the headstock. Good sounding guitars.

Yeah I like mine a lot, you have to spend a lot of money to get a better guitar.

Does the 140A have a good amount of low end? It sounds great and really clear in articulate in a lot of the videos I've seen online, but many of them are not mic'd and make it sort of hard to tell how full the 140A sounds compared to the rosewood 160A.

Bought this one, with a Sitka top, about 15 years ago. I think they were about $800 then. I'd like to pick up an Eastman slope shoulder now....

They’re real good guitars, and not just “for the money.” I like the Eastmans, and I’m also super impressed with the Recording King all solid lineup.

I was out of town for a wedding when I decided to visit a local guitar shop randomly. I played a Blueridge BR-60, their cheaper D-28 model with solid top and laminet sides and back, and thought it sounded and played surprisingly great. I almost went ahead and bought it, but then I found out about the all solid wood models like this. Now I'm trying to decide if the all solid BR-160/A is worth the extra money. Seems like you can get a used one online for a couple hundred bucks more than the BR-60, but the old ones have a way more crazy headstock and I personally like these newer, more minimalistic ones. Thing is, all the new ones with the revised headstock are all going for over $1000 and are closer to $1200 actually where as a used BR-160 with the crazier headstock can be found used for around $900 it seems like. So now I'm in a pickle. Do I settle for the cheaper BR-60, which I actually greatly liked, but know that I'll eventually want to upgrade again to a fully solid acoustic, meet in the middle with the older version of a BR-160 that has the headstock I don't really care for, or pony up the cash for one of the newer BR-160 models with the cleaner headstock? Ugh decisions haha. Great video mate!

That’s pickle you’re in for sure! I’ve played a BR-180 (a dressed up 160) with the gaudy headstock, and it was an amazing guitar, with a powerful woody tone. I think there’s a lot of value in all three of your choices, but I’d lean towards a guitar you’ll be happy with going forward. Thanks for watching!

@@anthonybonnette Thanks for the feedback man! Have you played the BR-140/140A at all? Could be the sweet spot for me in terms of all wood and more in my budget. Not sure if it would be lacking in bass though compared to the rosewood. Cheers!

Be careful they don’t make that anymore With an Adirondack top so it might be worth $5000 here pretty soon

Not true, they still make these guitars BR160A with the Adirondack top. Listed right on the Blueridge website and several dealer sites as well. Just picked one up a few months ago. Great guitar.

Hi Rob, that info came to me direct in an email from Saga via an announcement they put out. The whole line up was changed around. Adirondack is only on the 200 line and it will only have Adirondack. No a in the description either. All 100 series would be Sitka and no Adirondack available. Maurys Music covered the change as well. If they changed their mind already so be it. Seems doubtful. Why they haven’t reflected that on their website, couldn’t say. And I have no doubt there could be some still left in dealers hands. I got a 2019 283a
