What I like about Chris in Abroad in Japan is that he isn't just talking about an interesting subject, he's really very clever and sly about his topics, and he is both smart and well-read in general. Many other KZbinrs in general don't match up, with a lack of insight, wit, or just plain research that really shows. Well done.

Watching this after the studio reveal video so recognized the background! Japan really is so varied with their snacks. They will combine the weirdest things. Also given how much drinking alcohol is part of the culture it doesn't surprise me that they have hangover cure stuff. Also the energy drinks are probably cause so many people work late hours.

New Studio, Twitter verified, the parents of the Trash Taste trio love Abroad in Japan videos over their own children’s, and nearly got Ryotaro in a casket. Chris is just straight up flexing at this point

Fun fact: “libera” means “free” in Italian (the conjugation refers to feminine nouns though) and I don’t know if they intended for it to be that way, but maybe the mean to say that you can feel “free” of guilt and eat the chocolate without worrying about calories?

A lot of languages have grammatical gender systems (with a lot of differences). For example, "bird" is masculine in French (so you would refer to it as "he" instead of "it), but feminine in Russian (="she"). "Freedom" is feminine in both, also in German, Italian and many other languages :)
@bringmethedawns
@bringmethedawns 2 жыл бұрын
@@shahirraeed I think nearly all Romance languages (aka those that have Latin as a common root like Italian, French, Spanish and Romanian) have gendered conjugation, and that’s just how the system works, in fact as a non binary myself it’s pretty hard to find a neutral way to express things since verbs, adjectives, nouns and pretty much everything else is either “masculine” or “feminine”
@bringmethedawns
@bringmethedawns 2 жыл бұрын
@@shahirraeed just a note though “freedom” is translated as “libertà” which in Italian is a feminine noun, however “free”, the adjective, exist in both feminine (“libera”) and masculine (“libero”) forms
