Amen Mike! Someone in the industry must have posted single arm row work (the wrong way) about 1-2 months ago because everyone in the gym seems to be doing it incorrectly: loaded up, short range of motion, twisted the wrong way, etc. And YES people need to get off the phone video craze in the gym. Remember when you just went to the gym to workout? I miss the original days at my Y. No one would dare bring a phone in there because it would get thrown across the room. Plus, the dudes in there lifted properly and had great physique without drugs. I’ve been watching your videos. Great work Mike.

I disagree with you on split squats Mike. That's a first because everything you say is spot on usually but if you get your form right, with correct foot position and appropriate weight then split squats are fucking awesome. Back foot on a bench is too high though, best dying a way of lowering the back foot but these pure shred my glutes and quads depending on how far forwards I lean. Systemic fatigue is the only downside of them, they're brutal!
@michaelmeyers4950

Meh,... I respectfully disagree. If you feel like you can actually balance additional weight in your hands while actually burning your quads down to the motherfucking ground in a sensible ratio than you must have the strongest ankles ever made or weak ass fucking quads. This whole tippie toei balance ballerina stuff takes so much of my attention that my quads go on vacation.

@michaelmeyers4950 it just takes a little bit of practice to get your balance down and a lot of concentration to make sure the front leg is doing the work. When you nail it, the results are awesome. I disagree regarding the split squat. I think it's one of the best leg exercises you can do. Requires good balance, core stability along with leg strength as you're pretty much squatting your body weight plus any additional dumbbell weight with just one leg. Too many people are too keen to sit into a machine these days where they are either sitting or lying down taking the easy route. You need exercises like split squats in your routine to test yourself, people don't do it as it's too hard for them. When done correctly and safely exercises like split squat can benefit you as you get older with balance and mobility etc.

@@MR12AMAZING don't get me wrong, hacks, leg press, leg ext, leg curls are great also and are always in my plan, but a drop set at the end of the workout doing a split squat is torture and done correctly has great benefits. Get stronger at split squat and it carries over to other lifts like hack squat, it makes you stronger. There's a reason why many people i see can leg press 300kg easy, but can barely split squat with 15kg DBs in each hand.

Makes me wonder who he's refering to 😂 All I can think of is Jeff Nippard because he's training in Pure Muscle and is a science and powerbuilding guy

Right?! No need to come for Jeff. Dude is doing his own thing, comes across humble and doesn't seem to want no trouble. Just educating the masses.
