Jesse my man. You are so lucky to have accepted who you are at such a young age. I'm 51 and so many in my age group did not. You are correct when you say it is unfair to those to whom you involve just to "fit" in. You have started your journey and it is going to be a great journey in this thing called life for you. And yes you are normal. Just do me a favor and keep doing vidoes for those who started or need to start the journey you have embarked on. All the best.

In 2011 I wasn't the same person. I was always depressed. I couldn't keep it a secret anymore. I came out to my cousin & just like your sister, she cried cause she felt the pain I was in. I am a cancer survivor. After coming out to my cousin, I felt this great amount of weight come off my shoulders. I then thought to myself, "if cancer didn't stop me, why should I be afraid." You're cute Jesse. Everything will get better with time(:

Buddy, you are SO going to be alright. I'm amazed at how quickly you're comfortable in this "new skin" you're in. Truly impressive and evolved. Hang in there chief. You're not taking baby steps...you're taking huge freaking leaps...just like Superman.

You are a good, worthy, and valuable person. I am an old man who had problems coming out in my life. In some ways I still do, even though I knew I was different when I was only 5 or 6 years old. I did not come out at all until I was in college, more so in the last part of my Air Force enlistment, and not fully until I was 50. Too much of my life was.missed. I am so happy to see you and others being able to come forward. You are an inspiration to me and others. I wish you the best life for your future.

There ya go dude...I've never subscribed to a "personal reflection channel" before, but after watching this (the second of your videos I've watched) I felt compelled to show my support with a click (sorry, no bell ring, I get enough notifications for a few lifetimes). Continue to be brave...forgive the cliché, but it really does get easier (I came out before the first Star Wars came out, so you're doing it in a much more accepting time). Just accept AND BE TRUE TO yourself and the rest will fall into place. I have great confidence that life (and love) will be very kind to you as you move forward on the adventure that everyone on this spinning marble share. You are not "different" you are simply you. And that's not different, it's special. Props and heartfelt respect.

You're helping me a lot. High school's been tough on me so far. As a closeted freshman in an environment where everyone is seemingly bullish and not accepting, I find it very hard to come out. I think it's super-awesome that you have made such a huge leap for yourself to come out as gay. It takes lots of guts. I also think it's super-awesome for you to make it so public because it can show people that "gay world" isn't so one-dimensional. Often people, especially young people, tend to think that "gay world" is strictly flamboyant and gender-typically effeminate. By making your experience so public, you can show people (especially young gay guys) that gay men don't have to fall into that stereotype. They can be "jocks," too. Of course I'm not at all trying to insult any gay men who happen to be effeminate or anything, but just as "guy world" can seem excluding to "unmanly" men, so too can "gay world" to "not-gay-enough" gay men (I have a friend who has actually been told that he isn't gay "properly"). And I believe that you embody that message of greater inclusion, and even if it's not intentional, it is quite awesome. So thank YOU.
@RoulinBrooks11 жыл бұрын
You're right in that it's going to be a "long" journey, but not necessarily that it's going to be a "hard" journey. I hate to be a nerd, but here's a quote: "You've just taken your first step into a larger world." (Obi-wan Kenobi). A happy life stretches out before you. You deserve it.

I sometimes wonder how my life would have turned out, had I came out in high school, or in my early 20s, rather than wait till my early 30s. I can tell you from experience that, some people are ignorant & narrow mind, so you will just have to leave their stupidity at the door or on the web browser, & not take it personally. By finding family & friends who are supportive, you can be the confident,self assured person you want to be. I am out to my friends, coworkers, & it has been empowering.
