wrong! when she took the magic in equestria into the crystals it removed the crystal hearts magic and everypony there died , and the border she made to hid equestria too, celestia and luna think it has been banished

Twilight was the element of "Magic", so this theory does seem to fit very well with how Equestria changed from G4 to G5 and how the gemstones were created. Great theory MasterCode.

Those are some interesting and very possible theories Mastercode, i could picture Twilight opening up to the idea of using technology to replace magic and then creating the 3 crystals to store the last of the friendship magic inside until a time when Equestria needs magic again.

You know, it's never been confirmed that Alicorns are immortal. That has always been fanon. Also, we don't have nearly enough information to theorize about what happened. At this point, they're nothing more than hypotheses. I'd argue that your first idea may have more support as a theory rather than a hypothesis.

I like how you had a similar theory to Sawtooth Waves. He also believed that Twilight had to sacrifice her alicornhood to save Equestria in a time of dire need, but he thought she simply... faded away. A lot more grim if you ask me. Nice story, unfortunately, what we got is a tyrant Sparkle that sealed all magic away because the tribes were fighting each other. She gave each tribe a stone so that as long as they were apart magic would be forever broken. The separated and no one knows what happened to Twilight after she gave up on Equestria. That's all we know from both Sunny, Discord and Misty's accounts. I like yours better, MC.

There was another main 6........ The 6 kids at the school of friendship. I do believe that she gave up her powers to create the crystals but...... I don't think it happened like that. I first saw the idea she did a sacrifice from sawtooth but he didn't fully theorize on what might have led to it. I think, the cozy, the queen & Tyrek broke out or were broken out & took over destroying friendship & then Twi sacrificed herself. They're main focus was destroying friendship to take over, so.....

I do have a similar theory that the magic was removed from Equestria is because of what happened during the events of the series finale. I believe that the CMC aren't at Equestria assembled or play their part at the Friendship Speech. So, I think after the events of the season 10 comics, Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow are released from stone imprisonment all thanks to this new villain. This new villain will be playing a part in MLP: FIM Season 11. It's something I made up to show how Equestria deals with this new villain. I think the crytals might have somthing to do later on in Twilight's life.

Would you really stop using your telekinetic powers just because you have a cellphone? Heck, I'd like to have telekinesis specifically to summon my phone from across the room without having to get up. I haven't watched Onward, but that idea seems really far-fetched to me. As for the other theory, that seems to be what most people think. That it was some desperate effort to preserve magic before everything fell apart due to some villain. I guess this one isn't too dark to be canon, since it's similar to some stuff we saw in G4. Although it does leave a few questions open, like how did the pony tribes just forgot about all that and lost all written records of the event (and everything that came before it, for that matter), and why did they stay isolated and afraid of each other for possibly many centuries and then made peace after one afternoon of shenanigans.

Objection. Not Equestria. That Nation and all its rulers are probably dead and Canterlot lies in ruins. At best we are looking at three independent city states only one of which has an actual central government. Roughly maybe oh let's say 2000 or so ponies left in the known world and as of yet no other intelligent life. The couple dozen or so Unicorns we see in Bridalwood and Misty are all that's left. They're practically going extinct.

Do you means the actual titans from Greek mythology as they are (i.e., human-like and willing to murder their own children), or just the general idea of ancient beings who represent specific aspects of existence such as time, justice, memory, the sky etc?

@@jacktaylor9217 But that doesn't fit either actual Greek mythology or existing MLP lore, so what would be the point? Using Pandora's "box" (it wasn't even actually a box) and other recognizable objects in an unrelated setting is kind of a common trope (see "Public Domain Artifact" on TV Tropes for examples), but I don't see why you would assume that MLP would go for that one specifically, or how it would help to tie up the loose ends in the story.
