You're excitement when you first see the fish is contagious! Every angler's had that moment when they've gone "hoooolllyyy hell look at that thing!" when sight fishing. It's a fantastic feeling, get the adrenaline going before even hooking into the fish. Great footage, and awesome fish!

My grandfather used to tell me that eons ago, they would bait the hook with a whole chicken, and then pull the sturgeon out of the river with a wagon and a team of horses. He also told me that one time, the sturgeon was pulling the horses into the river, and he had to cut the rope. I would have liked to have seen that sturgeon...

Great footage! Sturgeon fishing is fun as hell! I grew up fishing them in the North Saskatchewan river in the late 70's to 80's. Being able to see your fish before, AND, during the fight is unbelievable! What a great place to enjoy your passion! Good for you!
