thanks, this was super useful - I am a beginner free diver and had troubles with my arm positioning until you mentioned that the shoulders should be relaxed - that solved the issue for me, so thanks!

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! Work more on the shoulders' mobility, and it would be easier to keep a streamlined position. Here are a few exercises for this area kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaObqaihdpxoo5osi=cUzTvdGWruLxtwoM

Thanks a lot for this video. I have done 75 meters after 5 personal training in 3 weeks, and I understand now that my kicking is awful. Will work on this next month. Of course the goal to reach 100 metres I have in my mind, bur will slow down for sure

Hi Sergei. Very Interesting video. Have you consider to explain these progresion blocks but for deep free diving?.

Thanks for the great video. It makes me feel bad, yet is exactly what I needed to gain clarity over my issue. It’s the part where you talk about people that do 100 m with bad technique. That tells me that my willpower or my ability to deal with tension is way below the average. I am struggling to progress past 40 metres consistently. I’m happy with bouancy and streamlining and kicking. Feedback from others is that it’s excellent. I struggle with contractions and the urge to breath. Tensions start after the first turn at 25 m. They then become overwhelming. So I’m looking for a way to relax into the urge to breath and contractions. My current approach is to work on fitness (overweight) and advance with no-contractions apnea until I find a way to manage the urge to breath. Any ideas on specific meditation practices or so? I would love to go into contractions with a sense of control and relaxation.

You can apply meditation principles for your dynamic apnea training - focus on relaxation and on your kicking, be at the present moment! For the progression, I would recommend finding a coach :)

are you going to make a video on each of these 5 things? I suggest linking them in here if you do, or link any you have already done.

There is not that much what can be said on progress from 0-30 (I did actually a video for this level), but yes, I was planning to expand on others' distances. Where you in DYNb at the moment?
@AviRotstein4 жыл бұрын
@@KAIZENFREEDIVING yes, I was doing pool based distance DYNb. 25m is easy, 50m is difficult and takes me several attempts, even after 511 logged dives since september 2019 (but even more going back to 2014). And i don't attempt 50m often because the facility doesn't like it. I don't really go often enough to make most of the training techniques really worthwhile (but i watch them anyway out of interest), So I must find other ways to improve, as you mentioned a couple in here.

I would suggest you do 30 meters dives. With the focus on streamlining/buoyancy/kicking. To increase intensity, you can gradually decrease rest time.

Question on streamlining: When I relax my shoulders completely my arms drop and I start dragging them on the bottom. Is that super cool style, which most freedivers just haven't discovered yet. Am I or will I be a trendsetter?
@KAIZENFREEDIVING Жыл бұрын
Haha, it's relaxed, true. But creating too much drag

I can do 50m repeatedly in a session, and my PB is 75m which I might do once in a session if at all. Where should most of my training be to progress sustainably?
@KAIZENFREEDIVING2 жыл бұрын
I like to do 2 types of training - volume and intensity. On a volume training do as many repetitions as you can with laser focus on different aspects of your technique. Distance should be easy. 25-30 meters sounds about right for you. Over the time, gradually, decrease the rest time. On intensity days can do less repetitions but longer distance, for example 50 meters. Over the time, gradually, increase the distance. Might be by 5 meters

But you dont say how many days training per week this project? thankioy
@KAIZENFREEDIVING12 күн бұрын
It depends on other activities - your work, other training etc :)
