Something that got rid of mine on top of everything that you did as well was Feminine wash, like Summers Eve. I had an AH - HA moment one day and thought if that wash is Ph ed balanced that would be great for my face! It was, my face cleared up in 2 weeks.

I've done a lot of skincare research myself, and I just want to say that this was the most educational video on skincare I have ever watched. If only I had come across this video sooner, maybe I wouldn't have wasted so much money on experimenting on myself!! What I do recommend you look into is pH balanced face wash. There's a whole community based off of asian skincare on Reddit, I believe it's called Asian beauty, it will pop up if you search it; it goes into depth about how you need a proper acid mantle on your face in order for you acids and actives (Paula's choice) to be at its maximum effectiveness! It also talks about how having a good pH balance from toning or a good face wash keeps your face from destroying the good bacteria! I highly suggest doing some research into that and educating us viewers on your finds :) I look forward to your future posts!

I was so happy to see you bring up probiotics in your diet!! Gut health is key to skin health, you need probiotics in your diet as well as prebiotics to feed the probiotics. Fermented foods like saurkraut and kimchi are super high is good bacteria and probiotics so incorporating those into your diet will improve your gut health as well as your skin😇 the KZbin channel Cultivate Beauty talks all about gut health and how it affects your skin if anyone is interested on looking into that any further😆 loved this video xoxo😘

the point you made about the probiotics is SO interesting, almost like a "how come I didn't think of this?!" kind of thing. I recently had a cystic acne breakout (I'm 20 and have only ever had break outs, and by breakouts I mean a few pimples here and there) and I'm FREAKING out because everything I do won't make it go away!! I'm going to try everything you mentioned thank you SOOOOO much!!

Ivory soap + Neutrogena skin cream w/ SPF and alpha hydroxy is magic. My older sister got me using that, and we both look younger than we are. I used to sell expensive skincare at a dermatologist office, and this is as good as anything.

Just a rec, if the Cetaphil clenser stings your skin try Neutrogena Ultra Gentle foaming face wash. The foaming one, not the hydrating one; the hydrating one is basically Neutrogena's version of Cetaphil gentle, so it will sting too. :) Great routine and great tips. Can't wait to try that SPF from Kiss my face and put yogurt on my face :)

I don't break out super often but I started adding a few drops of rosemary essential oil into my moisturizer, which i put on once in the morning and again before bed after I've washed my face. I've noticed that the overall look of my face is much more glowier (Is that even a word?) and the dark circles under my eyes, which I have had since the 4th grade, have diminished. I tried doing this after I rad the rosemary can help with blood circulation. Just something cool I wanted to share. :)

This was so helpful! I've been struggling with what I think is cystic acne on the sides of my face for a good 2 months, and I cannot get rid of it. Other people I've watched have done nothing but recommend $600 worth of skincare. And although skincare is super important, I don't want to spend a lot on it. So, I'm very thankful that you recommended affordable products, and the yogurt is genius! 😚😚

Such a good, sensible video about this subject. When I was growing up we believed that one had to attack the skin, strip it of oils and never moisturize. I cannot thank you enough for this video and, specifically, for the mention of Greek yogurt. It works MIRACULOUSLY. I get the glow from light acid products, like glycolic acid AND it lessens oil, which is a big deal. I’ve tried a few things from other brands since I’ve seen your video...and I keep coming back to yogurt. Works even better than clay masks for me. And you can get a regular sized one for like $1.25 and it’ll last 1-2 weeks. You are a saint!

On Amazon, you can get sample sizes of Eminence that total over a half ounce for less than 10 bucks. I've got so many orders. Eminence is super pricey. Eminence is one of the few good skincare lines that contain probiotics. I got their recovery oil that's normally like $70 for an ounce through Amazon for $10 for half ounce. They come in foil packs so super stable. I put them in empty jars. Yes, I also got those on Amazon.

Awesome video! Thanks. I just started using Pacifica's coconut probiotic face moisturizer last week, and my skin looks really good right now. Also, I did the no-poo haircare method for six weeks last year, and I think the baking soda water messed up the pH of my sensitive face and sent me into cystic acne. It was BAD. The things you learn! Healthy skin really is about balance. The yogurt thing makes a lot of sense, but I'd probably only use the clear, probiotic-rich liquid that sits on top.

I like the Garnier miceller water because it's simple and works for me since I don't wear water-proof makeup. I can also three bottles on amazon for like $6 a bottle. I used to do a yogurt mask, but I would leave it on like a mud mask which was a bad idea, but now I might try it again. I like your method of putting the BP on last at night since it's really just a topical disinfectant. I've been doing a new treatment and I'm purging a bit so I've been trying to combat the flakiness and sensitivity so maybe only using bp at night will help. I'm so used to using it twice a day

I use a morning cleanser that has some benzoyl peroxide in it by Mark Lees, and then I moisturize with the daytime spf moisturizer by the same brand. Evening I was my face with a gentle milk cleanser (same brand again), use a toner by Jan Marini (it says its a lotion, bioclear lotion, supposed to prevent acne from forming) and then another moisturizer, nighttime, by yet again Mark Lees. But I agree that makeup wipes aren't great. I find they leave a film on my face. I'm combo leaning towards oily so the pomegranate balancing moisturizer is great. I also mask with glam glow supermud and boscia charcoal black peel off mask because my nose is full of blackheads 1000% of the time so much so that makeup doesn't like to stick to my nose

I've broken out badly for the first time in a few years. I've never had acne on my jaw/cheeks until recently and I'm only seeing more appear as I try to treat it. I have tried new skincare; supposedly meant to help clear skin, without any huge results and really don't know how to tackle it anymore. Thank you so much for this video. I think switching up my diet and exercising to reduce stress levels will help my case. I also really love the yoghurt idea! I'm thinking of making a daily mask out of it and some other beneficial ingredients and seeing how that works for me. Do you have any tips for clearing acne scarring? Really love this video! Thank you for sharing your routine! One question: I was using the Paula's Choice BHA Liquid for awhile during my nighttime routine and had a really bad breakout. I went super simple after that because I wasn't sure what caused it, and slowly worked my products in one at a time - the BHA liquid seems to be the culprit. I asked my dermatologist about it because I'm using 2 topical prescription products right now and thought maybe the combination of those things was freaking my face out. Long story short - did you experience a purging period when you started using that BHA liquid? My dermatologist couldn't really give me advice because my breakout had mostly cleared up by the time I had an appointment. I know you can't give actual medical advice, but just wondering if this happened to you when you first started using it. Thanks in advance!

Stephanie Ruehl I would say it totally depends on the product. This particular one has a low concentration and is meant to be applied wherever breakouts might happen, which recently has meant about half my face. I apply it over moisturizer to have more control over where the BP goes. I feel like it would be hard to use as a spot treatment under moisturizer because when you apply your moisturizer on top you would spread it out all over the place and dilute it. But that's just my experience with this product, whatever works works! Thanks for watching :) :) :)
