i am an AJ fan, but 3 stone is a lot of weight and lets be honest now, AJ is no fury. his boxing IQ and ability is not on that level. His biggest advantage was power combinations and being able to actually take a fair hit on the chin and trade blows a bit. if his plan is to fight like fury against wilder and try not to get hit for 12 rounds then i just can not see this going his way. going from one extreme - brawling ruiz to the other, out boxing him just is not the right plan. from my perspective he needs a middle ground where he picks his shots well but isn't afraid of getting stuck in at the right moment. i just hope he isn't afraid to let his hands go if he see's the opening. i dont want to see him jab ruiz all night only for him to get laid out because he isn't actually hurting ruiz...

Ruiz is hyper-hydrated (drank a GALLON of water before the weigh-in). They are fighting in the desert and the late rounds will be decided on water, not weight. Ruiz is super sharp and fit to fight. AJ will be run over like a truck.
