as adults we have to take responsibility for choosing bad people, knowing they are bad people for us many times from the jump and despite the information we know about them already and even as it develops when it comes out more and more. we are in the wrong and that's ok and healthy to know. but ultimately we are in the wrong. trisha was in the wrong. not only personally but professionally - she runs a business and you have to vet the people you work with. i think when we are living in unhealed places we choose unhealed people. trish choose people who would hurt her and seemed catty and quite corrupt in how they had friendships. most of us regular folk just choose unhealthy people who struggle to communicate their issues with us and come to mature resolutions. trish was choosing people in the youtube sphere that really matched where she was at. people who would be outwardly destructive and keniving to others. and she seemed to have a tendency to hurt others and be keniving too. most people don't have the privilege of having public information about someone's tendencies and reputation and malicious actions- but trisha had this about colleen and still engaged with her. she didn't have to come out and call colleen out but she could have kept a distance. she had more than enough information to keep a distance and not done a podcast. you have a mature perspective adam. you are right. she is responsible for not making better decisions with abundantly public and clear information that should had made her take the decision to keep that distance. again she could had just kept her crappy behind the scenes friendship with colleen but said no to public collaborations because the information was clearly a red flag. she has to own that and that will allow her to heal and not repeat these behaviours. and it is ok to own that. it is healthy. trisha is feeling guilt and shame because of her own experience, choices and responsibility in all this. she had information but still enabled an abuser. she feels the reality of that. i would encourage you to not soothe people when they are admitting their challenges and associated feelings. not because they don't deserve soothing but because it's not your responsibility to validate these people - you did that for kody, johnny and do that for trisha. they all need mental health supports and they have their own network of individuals. you are not responsible to validate them and forgive them. it's something they have to process and then when they have unpacked everything they can come and you can offer something to you and then if you want to you can offer them something. but i think if i were to advise you anything - to protect your spirit. you have already done so much in terms of offering forgiveness and so i want you to know and internalize as best as you can that you have done enough and do not need to continue to validate and forgive these (older) adults.

Documentaries consist of official, factual record or reports. That is why swoops videos are so well done. Shane talking about conspiracies is the exact opposite of the definition of documentary. Documentary… documented. Documented information.
@ihavenodesiretocreateahandle
@ihavenodesiretocreateahandle Жыл бұрын
yeah... iirc, "documentary" is a fusion of the words "documented (information)" and "commentary." It's like a highly informational video/series of officially, verifiably true, documented records of events; with commentary/a speaker. Conspiracy "documentaries" used to have a fusion word of "commentary" and "conspiracy," but no one really used it.. It was "commspiracy" I think?? It's weird how Shane's conspiracy-commentary series is seen as a "conspiracy docu-series" because _how can something be conspiracy AND be documented?_ the very point of "conspiracy" is that there's no/inaccessible documentation.
@Lucifersfursona
@Lucifersfursona Жыл бұрын
Shane trying to salvage his image as a multi-documented sex pest against children and animals is the other side of the moon from Swoop, an actual survivor of the things she’s talking about, putting in months and months of ethical investigative journalism and care for the well-being of survivors and victims at the forefront of her work. Shane wants people to think of his inhumane predations as drama, Spankie goes out of her way to assert the things she covers shouldn’t be considered internet drama when she mostly covers ethical crimes legalized or not.

@@ihavenodesiretocreateahandle in regards to documented conspiracies, it’s more that people extrapolate extra information from documented materials. @@timeforkuuchanIn a perfect world, yeah! Though I think subjects such as this require more sensitive care and personal touch than something like a nature film. Even then, in a lot of shows/videos I don’t think the face/narrator of them is seen to have very obvious bias. Like, think of a serial killer documentary, or a random Netflix documentary, or a documentary about some science phenomenon. I’d think there’s some level of bias in these, maybe not as obvious as Swoop’s but in her case, she offers real experience and genuine emotion. I’d like to say that in my thoughts, Swoop’s work could probably be in between both genres of “Documentary” and “Journalism.” Where moving parts blur the lines between fact-driven, investigative, and informative, all tied together with documentary style editing and personal experience from herself. Also to throw this out there, a KZbinr like Coffeezilla definitely would be more aligned with “Journalism” in my opinion. Someone like Mr. Snowflake on KZbin with his content definitely seems more purely “Documentary.” I think Swoop is somewhere in the middle. Not that it super duper matters to me, but it is interesting to think about and try to categorize. I do appreciate the scale and effort Swoop puts in, and overall the semantics of what to label her production doesn’t affect me.

And it's not that I let him hold power over me it's just a wound that cuts so deep and stitches rip open over and over and over and it never fucking goes away. And a lot of people who've never been through this don't understand that you don't have to do anything wrong to me. You can say something that that person used to say and it will trigger me. It doesn't have to be negative. It could just be the way you said it or the way you worded it. It is so hard to live a normal life after things like this happen and I'm proud of you for recognizing that you let it consume you a lot of people don't realize it and it becomes a bigger problem. This is my take, I could be wrong but hear me out: when something like this comes up, everybody has a way that they initially react. Hers was to be hesitant and not immediately abandon her friend. And it makes total sense that she did not initially understand the severity or the details of what the heck everyone was talking about. Nobody did at first. I sure as heck didn't. And that doesn't mean she didn't care that means she's a normal human with her own life in which she knew jack shit about you or what Coleen did at first. And then didn't believe it. And then within a matter of days, realized. Which is a very quick period of to time realize something so shocking and unexpected. There was a period of denial which is very normal when a grief filled reality like this is thrown upon you and you loose a friend who turns out to have been evil all along. You think she didn't care like Coleen or Johnny, no, she just didn't understand initially! You're traumatized from dealing with manipulators like Coleen and Johnny in your youth, which is the whole reason why what they did is evil in the first place. What Trisha says makes perfect sense. It's a perfectly understandable reaction.

I have the same condition as Trisha. A big symptom is getting attached to people and to put them on a pedestal. It takes a lot for someone external to shift that. I also think it’s possible she thought kodee was just scorned and making shit up to get back at Colleen, and that’s what they thought people in chat were referring to. Without the following videos from Adam, kodee’s video is questionable. Could Trisha have handled it better? Sure. But considering her past behavior and BPD, she handled this extraordinarily well. I just hope everyone involved is able to heal and receive closure. This is an awful scenario through and through. Sick people deserve accountability for their actions for sure, and there is value to me when people are willing to have personal growth and make their wrongs right. For those that refuse to see their wrongdoings and accept them, then work towards that growth, I feel true pity for. This disagreement between Adam and Trisha is beyond annoying at this point. I would really like Adam to reflect on the dissonance between how he has said himself "she never had to talk about it if she didnt want to" since in this situation she was violated, and also a victim who should not have felt pressured to have to say anything & the idea that she did something wrong here in taking her time to react, gather her information, process, think through how to end it with colleen, decide if she was going to say anything. How can you be mad at her for not processing it immediately and yet also believe she never had to say anything at all. Say what you want about her but she did NOTHING and I mean not a single thing wrong in this situation. I mean for god sakes wasnt Adam allowed to change his mind on Cody Tyler? Have one opinion and then change it after thinking about it and having others bring up points as to why Cody shouldnt be forgiven so easily? Adam made a video with Cody as well...and he was more in the know about this sitation than Trisha could ever be since Adam has been inside this for actual years. I don't blame Adam for having his feelings, he cant help it, but stop airing out the same opinion about another victim and your judgement of the time it took to process. Adams been processing this for years at this point and Im sure opening it up again isnt easy but to Trisha...this JUST happened. And enough of the people "she hasnt changed" in this situation why is that relevant at all???? Lets say shes an absolute monster. And? Does that then mean she has the magic powers to come to terms with her friend doing this to her immediately? Nah. This is a traumatic mindblowing thing to happen to a person.

Yeah she’s a victim and it sucks, but It does matter because her reactions on things are influenced by who she is, and she is the same Trisha she’s always been. 😅I get what you’re saying that she’s still processing things probably, but the deflecting isn’t something new with her, it’s not shocking and it’s like what did you expect from her? You are right to be bothered by someone platforming someone that is so awful. That said, I think you need to give her grace on filming the unposted podcast. No one wants to believe their friend, & new business partner, has been degrading them. It takes time to process the truth, & even then you don't want to believe you allowed someone so horrible into your world/home. She has done plenty of shameful things & didn't want to turn her back on someone she believed may be wrongfully being cancelled for their past. What Trish did right, was not actually airing the last podcast. She could make a lot of money, & she is standing firm on not being connected with her. Her husband believes it is his job to protect Trish's mental health. That is not good for her finding out things about important things in a timely manner, but it may be best for her little family.

Absolutely. I think the only reason why she's speaking out about Colleen so much is because she slighted her. Just having watched Trish for 10 years her MO is really no different than it has been. When she feels triggered by people, she paints herself in a "victimized" light and milks the situation to make the person look as terrible as possible (and for views tbh). And I know in this situation she WAS victimized, but I know she definitely wouldn't be talking about it if she wasn't involved. I'll never forget when she accused Ethan of very serious crimes (both SA and SH) just because she was upset about the infamous "5%". Trisha plays calm until she gets her redemption arc, then she gets cocky and shows herself.

It's wrong that Moses was hiding it from trish but you have to understand that's her husband who knows her triggers and what makes her spiral. It wasnt right but I think his intentions were good, he was trying to protect her, counter productive or not.

Adam just wants people to be ‘TRUTHFUL!’ Don’t think that is too much to ask, at end of day the TRUTH reigns! When Adam sat and bared his soul, the good, bad n ugly…this is why as a 20yr old, Adam is MORE MATURE than most people I know 👏🏻 Adam, hopefully one day this will all pass and you get validated, even if these people can’t, rest assured, you will power through a long, honest and peaceful life. 😚 We can see, through your story, also what Swoop unfolds, it’s not that phrase that is bantered about ‘My Truth’ BUT rather ‘THE TRUTH’ 💖

I think when it comes to Moses not telling Trisha stuff it’s about protecting her and her reactions bc of her personality disorder.

Like I don’t think Trisha is lying here, I think that she has a system to temper her reactions. Unfortunately that means that she was ignorant of that and that’s irresponsible but when you consider her history of responding to drama, I think it’s a good thing if someone is monitoring what she’s exposed to

@@kristiekane4963I don't understand how she keeps fooling people .. SHE is even worse than before with her jump in views and attention. She will blow it all up as usual, then when the smoke settles, She will latch on to a NEW audience who knows nothing about her( mainly children) .. Then Rinse and Repeat.

I totally stand with you Adam however, if Trisha already had negative feelings towards you I don’t think it’s unreasonable for her to block your name from her chat. I don’t think there’s any reason to expect Trisha to be following any news regards to you at that time

Exactly! I'm so confused as to why he expected her to care about him after speaking about her so poorly. She owed him nothing. He acts like she was a friend who did him wrong and it's weird. Sometimes I feel like Adam is enjoying all this and soaking up all the views he can get by reacting to every...single... thing someone says about it. Yes, he IS a victim, and I stand by him in that, but c'mon. How many videos can you make in one day? The one he just posted about Kodee was such a mean girl vibe. I just feel like he should hold back a bit more and only speak when it is important to voice something that needs to be amplified. And Trish saying what she said in her video, imo, is not one of those things. He has become the main character in this and sometimes I feel like even he is dulling down the attention towards the other victims. He's milking this. And again, I dont mean this as he should not speak up about his truth, Im just saying, its giving those vibes at this point. If this video or the one he did on Kodee weren't made, it wouldn't have taken away from or changed his story regarding what he went through with Colleen in any way shape or form. Imo, they're just not needed.

The only thing needs to apologize about anything is to all the communities she offended for making fun of in the past and for everyone she hurt in the past she’s never addressed. If she did. She would end up more followers a to and not so many people still so angry at her.

And this is why i still dont like trisha. She lies. She knew, moses knew, and they went out of their way to ignore it, right up until trisha found out about her nudes being passed around, THEN she felt like she needed to say something about the whole sitauton. She was fine with continuing the podcast with colleen after the allegations, but because trisha got brought in, she apparently cares how much hurt and pain you have been in adam...NOW she cares. She didnt care before the nudes thing. Trisha is indeed a victim, thats a straight up fact, but dont think for a second that you can weasel your way out of shitty behavior by lying and assuming people wont look into it or wont care because you're a victim. She will be very surprised. What happened to trisha is awful, and i wish her much healing and peace, but shes still the same trisha, shes changing for the better, slowly, and im happy for her for that, but its going to take years and years of therapy to truly become a better person. It doesnt happen overnight, it doesnt magically happen after having a baby, it doesnt happen after marriage, etc, only long-term therapy can help trisha with the mental illnesses she has been diagnosed with. The day that trisha tranforms into a great persom is the day that i will be highly looking forward to. I believe she can do it, if not for her, she will do it for her daughter. When that day comes, ill be a trisha fan. Until then, i wish her much success and positivity for her to become a better person. 💜💋✌️🤝✨️

Yep! The people would rather give Trisha a pass than admit that she is a horrible person because they believe that it’s her “trolling” I’m sorry but what she did was not trolling, being an outright bigot is not trolling and we need to stop dismissing actual bigotry for trolling.

If Trisha felt any kind of guilt or shame it shouldn’t be bc her n*des were shared privately between dumb, disgusting, horrible people. It should be bc she’s done some gross things to people she was trolling online like Ethan and Hila! She shared herself pleasuring herself while staring at their pics, that’s something she should feel gross or guilty about. Idk why so many don’t call her out for stuff she should be called out for.. it’s forgive and forget and feel sorry for her all bc she’s currently trying to be this saint online. She has so much to be held accountable for but no one does.
