Ooh tough call. I'm well out of the Ibanez loop these days, from being an uber fan back in the day (owned two JEMs, an RGA and RG) so I haven't played an up-to-date RG. Quick look at the specs though I'd say the RG has a better trem but Charvel has better pickups. Build quality was always high on Ibanez guitars so I'd imagine that is still the case, can be a bit patchy on the Charvels though. Aesthetics might play a part too, something more retro about the Charvel vs the RG that you might prefer. HTH
