I’m not surprised at all that people recover on their own without going to rehab! Rehab got me clean….WHILE I was in rehab!! But unless you’ve made a commitment to yourself to do WHATEVER it takes to get and stay clean, no amount of rehab will get you there.

I have fallen in love with a man who is an alcoholic. Some is self medicating from an abusive childhood some is cultural. I do not come from that world and very rarely drink. Your videos have helped me understand him more and help him on his recovery.

When I quit drinking on my own (2.5 yrs), ZERO of my friends or family supported me. So, I started again. I know what relapse feels like now. Part of me wanted it to kill me so they'd all realise how much they didn't support me. I've just booked an appointment with a treatment center for the first time ever. I am terrified. Thank you for your videos. I sure wish I saw them a couple of years ago.

I had to sit in my apartment alone and had famiy bring me food while i took myself off of Rx Fentanyl patches after. 11 yrs. because i began to use hard street drugs and got caught by my Dr. and was suggesting treatment when he cut me off but i was tooo proud. I wasn't really ready for end of life meds for a health condition (multiple Sclerosis) and i was too yound to realize the gravity of heavy opiate dependance at the time. Fentanyl dependance had me in seizures in front of my young children when the meds were not taken as prescribed. I was so ashamed of my addiction but ready, really ready to beat this... i can now address the "street use Fentanyl "epidemic here in this small hometown of mine and really help others see the possibilities of recovery from this (i hope). We finally have a wing at our local hospital for detox that they didn't have at the time of my detox. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS

🤚🏼 My husband took his own life. I was with him 12 years, it was 3 years after his death that I realised he had been using cocaine the whole time. I had no idea at all and was very naive. Our home was associated with his job, so I had 3 days to move out. I then found out we didn't have savings, we had £70,000 of debt. It's been 6 years since he took his life, I'm still homeless, paying off debts and unable to work due to PTSD. So 18 years of my life have been taken so he could put some stuff up his nose to feel good for a while. I have a lot of anger. These videos have been a god send, I'm understanding the nature of addiction and getting some closure. I'm also using them to quit my weed addiction which had recently got out of hand. Thank you for making them, you've helped me see a positive future ❤

👋 Amber thank you so much for sharing your very valuable knowledge! My 33 year old daughter do two beautiful daughters decided to smoke crack. My older daughter and I just started naranon meetings because we are so sad. It's only been two months since this madness started, and our family is really missing her. I text her at least once a day. Sometimes she answers me. But when she doesn't I get scared then I get mad. My emotions are all over the place. Soon I leave for vacation and i am scared and worried. I send her your videos a lot. I hope she watches them. Love you and loves your videos! They are so helpful!!

My 25 year old daughter started Crack 4 yrs ago. I'm still unable to accept it. I can't let it go. It is sad. Like I'm going to hear she's passed at any moment. I cannot be happy until she is. Do the meetings help?

Great video as always. Wondered if you could make a playlist of videos that family members or friends could refer to share with their loved ones with addictions that does what you suggested by starting out slow by gaining their trust then building to a video like this.

✋My son recently told me he would rather commit suicide than go through detox . I asked him if he feels that he can get to the other side and he said it doesn’t work like that Is this the fear talking . It sounds like he defends the drugs which are fentanyl and meth . I don’t know what to do I keep open communication with him no shaming or judgment.
