I was on the verge of being hospitalized for mental issues I think 3 times. It was absolutely terrifying knowing that being honest could get me stuck there. I almost got hurt in CPEP one time because one guy had schizophrenia. He got super violent. Love your videos. 💜

Hi lovelies. I'm still on the ward. I've been here for three months now. However I am leaving next week! I totally had the scenario of being told that I was behaving like a child when the reality was that I was unstable. I was also told that I was "planning my behaviour" which was ludicrous. I told that nurse I didn't want her to say those things and she changed her tune. I managed to watch bits of your amazing video but I'll watch them properly when I'm feeling better. Thanks so much. Xxx

loved this video! I've experienced both sides of this and ive noticed that adult psychiatric help is a lot worse than adolescence! I was with CAHMS from age 11 and was signed off a week before my 18th birthday and was still very poorly. I asked what to do next and they said thats up to you, your not with us anymore and pretty much shut the door! still poorly now, find it hard to leave my home but ive been told theres nothing more they can do for me. it just isn't ok!

jonobcool been told similar. 3 times in the last year I was in crisis and told my anxiety was too high to go into hospital and it’d make me worse. Hope you’re okay

@@Lucy-sr5ls Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I've not been to good recently which is why I've only just saw your reply. I'm so sorry you got told that. Are you getting any kind of help atm?. I went the Drs (GP) but it was the same old story of how he will try asking for more help. It's not his fault. He's written letter etc and MH team and therapy and local wellbeing service just keep ignoring him. I've a support worker I see once a month and he's new as my old one left....he's absolutely useless!. Thanks for your reply, It made me feel as though I wasn't alone, so thank you 🖤

jonobcool I have bipolar, bpd and autism. My psych recently rejected my referral for a cpn though the mental health nurse says I point blank need one. Waiting on results from complaint to the nhs board so hopefully a good outcome as I’ve been refused from changing psych. I hope you get some support soon. Glad I made you feel a little better

@@Lucy-sr5ls I'm sorry to hear that. I've got depression, Anxiety, social anxiety too and PTSD. That's just ridiculous isn't it!. I really hope you get a good outcome I've got my fingers crossed for you 🤞. Yeah, we maybe waiting a while for me to get any lol. You can talk to me anytime if you ever want to or need too.

I’ve been hospitalized 10 times for suicide attempts,being drunk in public,self-harm,threatening to burn down my group home,aggression and homicidal ideation on my 5th hospitalization I was at a state mental hospital which means it’s funded by the state instead of insurance and they can keep you there as long as they want I had nowhere to go at the time after being involuntarily committed for 30 days so I ended staying for 6 and a half months and they later on put me a unit for NGRI (not guilty by reason of insanity) patients that were criminals that were found incompetent to stand trial and they stay there for years to get treated and they rarely ever let them go after their time is up they usually add more time on and on until the judges feel like it’s necessary to let them go on my 8th hospitalization I had to switch rooms because my roommate was a schizophrenic that later on had a delusion that I was a cop listening to everyone’s conversation and it got to the point to where he said he hired hit men to snipe me through the windows I switched rooms and ended up moving to the end of the hallway and I almost got into a fight with him because he just keep provoking me and I called him the b word but one of the nurses got in the way and stoped us from fighting I have more stories to tell I might do a video on them at some point I’ve also been on adolescent wards as well but only 3 times the rest were the adult wards on my 4th hospitalization they gave me someone else’s meds by mistake when I left at the time I was going to file a lawsuit against them for that and plus the staff was verbally abusive too as well but I figured that it’s hard to sue a hospital because of all the money they put into those places.

I enjoyed this video, it's like sitting with you guys and having a conversation. 😁 My town only have about 7 beds/rooms in one place. There (on the top of my mind) is about 4 different places with different hospitals inside the same hospital system.. It's an insane lists to even come in, and they say 12 weeks is a responsible waiting time. A&E where i live is litteraly just a doctors office, and you get told to go home if it's not "that bad". One litteraly have to say that they are gonna kill themselfes to even get to a place, and the fastest place you can get into is an hour away with an airplane.. My stay in the children/teenage unit in the middle of nowhere, was like a kindergarden with a phsycologist/doctor who wassnt even there that much. I'm now waiting to see how i get treated in another town's hospital 2hours away from me. There is something clearly wrong in the health system when physical comes before mental. Equality is truly missing. There are so manny people going though life at the same time, it's insane to think that so manny people go through the same system.. I atleast got into a place, i am happy with that. And, we have internet connection at our hospitals, so losing our minds over boredom is not gonna happen. Our hospitals also focus alot on being outdoors, they have therapists(?) who are with you 24-7 to activate you, be with you and talk. They have scedules and different stuff to do. So it's not bad at all. I belive in the emergency hospitals they just focus on getting you better and out, after 2 days you can release yourself. I think it's intresting to hear about how other countries do things and how other teens and adults see it. ☺️🦋

@Harry-qg1ut4 жыл бұрын
im not sure about them but im going in tomorrow voluntary for depression, you only are admitted ever if you are a serious risk to ur self and others otherwise you need to go private, you are sectioned if u are a serious risk to self or others and do not agree to admission, im at risk to myself but know i am so i am a voluntary patient
