I feel like the team needs to make a bigger commitment to conditioning. They expand themselves on defense and try to rest themselves on offense that’s not gonna cut it in major D1 hoops.

Jay Wright is an unbelievable coach. But I don’t think the landscape of college basketball interests him any more. I could be wrong. I think Coach Autry needs a third year. Then reevaluate.

Team has no cohesion, not coached well, lineups are baffling, Pete is a d3 player at best. Biggest player never plays and you talk about the kids not doing what you are telling them to. Thats culture and it's bad. Times up. Love ya red but you gotta go.

And Westry??? Nothing??? And for all that Carlos sort of does, you could lump him in with players not D1 level also. This game was a blowout from start to finish. It seems to me this team would do better in zone, full time. If I see another player go under the screen to leave the offensive player to drain a triple, I’m going to lose my mind. That’s coaching.

Autry has the guys he recruited and trained into his system. This team is a reflecton of HIS vision and ability as a head coach. He can't blame the players because they will enter the transfer portal to get away from him- including Starling. The buck stops with Autry. He brought in an undersized point guard and an undersized center so he has no rim protection and weak perimeter defense. Does SYR run any plays to get other guys rolling? Is there a plan on defense? I like Autry but not as HC at SYR. He's a total disaster.

The players just don't work hard enough...not all the players all of the time...that's what makes it soooooo maddening...only takes 1 player on defense to give a half assed effort, bucket for Clemson, next time downcourt, a different player gives half assed effort on defense, 3 by Clemson...you watch this over and over...multiple players not going for a open spaced rebound, Clemson gets the ball...Eddie had 3-4 3 ft shots in the 1st half that were either blocked or short armed...6ft11 265lbs, making the Clemson center look like an All American, and the Clemson center isn't even very athletic...just can't happen... We need more players that actually want to outwork the other team...I actually don't see it with anyone except Cuffe and Peter... Have some pride boys....lose with 99% effort...that's OK...

Autry doesn't have answers because his guys aren't good, so they need to be conditioned. Clemson gets the most of their players because they move and are conditioned.

I have been following Syracuse for years, but your team may be the worst team i've watched.There is no excuse for missing so many free throws There is no excuse for so many turnovers, You either have a horrible recruitment system, or you are not a very good coach. OK I think red has the basketball IQ of a 3 year NBA pg. But it's not enough to hand a player a scouting report and be like "here you go, handle your business". And that's for sure the vibe I get. His in game coaching is terrible. No passion. No accountability for himself or teaching that concept to the players. I (would) feel sad but all the starters are driving NYE cars. Next you have a good portion of your starters coming in from programs with clear cut defined styles of play. I'll use JC as an example. He's typically labeled as a pass first point guard. Fine and cool. But as a senior starter I expect him to be able to defend. Which he doesn't do at all. And I'm sorry but Hofstra isn't a syracuse level program. So to hold him to that level is not going to end well. It's like when Jimmy B transferred in. People where saying how awesome of a player he was. Nope. If he was awesome SU would have recruited him from the go. Lastly is anyone thinking about how much this dumpster fire is going to impact the class coming in next year?
