didnt see where you were using any filters, can you comment on this?

No filters. Just camera and lens will do the trick. I like to primarily use a mid-range zoom but it depends what I am shooting and trying to achieve, so definitely take some lenses with you.

@@WilliamPatinoPhotography thanks, I have a SIgma 24x70 2.8 like you mentioned and also have a 100x4 but its a variable apeture 5.6-6.8 I think so not very fast.

@@TwoIndians Same as my 100-400mm. Won't be an issue as long as the sun is still above the horizon :)

No drone at all? Why?

Hey David. Drones are not permitted in the NZ national parks, unless you apply for a permit for every single flight you do. But my main reason is that when using a drone, I feel a disconnect between myself and the image. The whole creative process is so vastly different from how I feel with a camera in hand. I really want to see with my own eyes what I'm capturing, not just looking at a screen in another area whilst the drone enjoys all the views. Of course there's some amazing drone images out there but it's not a tool for me and my photography. Cheers!
