Thanks for the info Khang. Have been watching your videos for a while and always enjoy them. For tomatoes i picked up the container collection from Tomatofest. I have not tried them all but the Tiny Tim cherry tomato plants are excellent. They only grow about 1 to 1.5 feet high and have a high yield. I planted 2 of them with some Thai basil and they all produced for 10 months before i finally decided to change them out.

Hello Khang! Awesome video, as always! I just found your channel recently as I got interested in Hydroponics. I am a pepper guy, I currently have 5 varieties that are germinating/sprouts. I never really looked into hydroponics until a friend of mine told me that it works amazingly well for year round growing. I live in Alabama so it both gets 95f and 20f, neither of which do my peppers like. Do you think a full DIY DWC setup would be a better choice over an AeroGarden if I am willing to put in the time and bit of extra money? A few of my friends have AeroGardens and they are amazing, but they are a bit limiting. I will be growing primarily super hot peppers. Currently I am growing Death Spirals and Chocolates Ghosts/7 pots. Thank you for the videos!!!

Curious, do you top your tanks off with Fresh Water between adding Nutrients? For instance, on mine, it wants more water every couple of days, and asks for new Fertilizer ever couple of weeks. Do you give it plain water every couple of days or the nutrient rick water?

I started being active on 7 Pot Club & Rob has mentioned you as a knowledgeable source. I just received my PH100 meter and am awaiting shipment of 2) Bounty Basic aerogardens. I think the information of water change every 4 weeks is correct for good plant health. What are your views? For water, I was planning on using grocery store Spring water as it is very consistent in mineral content and highly filtered. Your views again? People should not consume RO or distilled water so why should plants. Use their mineral blend.

its the "nitrogen" that causes the continued growth and leaf drop not feeding in general. if you used a different fert, one with the ratio like 1:2:3 it would flower like a boss.

Morning Khang. I have questions. You said that the plants are miniature and that way You can cross and grow them out faster. So once You get the cross that You want, will the peppers stay small or will they grow bigger if You plant them outside? And do You top the pepper plants in the small containers to keep them small? Thanks.

I bought white Thai seeds from a trusted seller on Amazon. They happen to also sell the candlelight mutant pepper seeds of which I didn't purchase. They said there's no chance they crossed however I have several white Thai plants that are clearly mutated. Do you know if this is something that happens from time to time? They aren't long leaves like the candlelight but they are somewhat elongated and some leaves look like normal pepper leaves but appear to have Siamese characteristics. It's very odd but fascinating. I posted to pepper groups on Facebook with no real answers and searched Google high and low. Hoping you may have some insight? I want these to grow well and carry the genetics onto the next round.

Very informative video like always, Khang. I know you grow for fun, but you should consider setting up Amazon affiliated links to the things you mention so you can at least make a little bit of money off things people buy. It doesn't cost your viewers anything, but it'll put a little change in your pocket for all your efforts. :) You should also try to get some of the companies to sponsor the stuff you use often. I'm not sure how that's done, but I think tagging them on Instagram helps.

Hey Khang? You think I can start Cantelope Seeds in Rockwool same as Peppers? I am a big fan, been growing Peppers for a long time, I built a New Raised Bed last year, I now have 3 that are 8 feet x 4 feet, and 20" tall. I want to try Cantelope and let the plants grow inside the Raised Bed and see what happens. But I want to start my seeds early using Rockwool, then double plastic cups (Bottom Feed), and then out to the Garden in April. Thanks, Keith

I crossed a cayenne pepper with a "havanna gold" and I am struggling with germination whereas usually I have a very good success rate just using a non heated propagator against my radiator. @@notflanders4967 yes mate I let them slightly over mature possibly. They are very small seeds. I am using a 70-30 seedling compost to vermiculite at a guess, and every other seed I'm growing seems to be fine, eg numex twilight germinated in 5 days same with all my bell peppers and sweet pointed peppers. I'm assuming the cross was compatible as I did have one germinate out of like 8 but it wouldn't leave its seed casing. (Only being doing this 2 year)

@@shinramox1520Thats unfortunate but interesting. I hope you keep at it and are able to figure out what's going on. Any Hydroponics shop can set you up with a budget set up - flood and drain systems are cheap (you can put one together yourself with a pump some pipes and fittings). My local guy builds aerogarden style systems himself and sells them at a good price. I had a 2x3 cardboard box with a couple of computer fans mounted in the sides and a small led light for starting seedlings - just grown in coco coir - or it was enough to hold 6 smaller peppers like the ones in the vid
