Not sure whether you noticed. The girl on her knees is wearing clogs. Clogs were/are wooden shoes for people who could not afford anything else. She has patches of leather or rubber (from old tyres) nailed to the soles of her shoes to prevent slipping. Clogs have no traction on wet or icy ground. Going barefoot was the only other option she or anyone less prosperous than her had. Love your new art! 💗

Some galleries hang pics by 2 chains, straight down. Less strain, when the piece is large/heavy. It's a fizzix thing. I now feel like daubing oils onto the blank canvasses which I still have. Did lots of painting, way back when but only 2 got framed. Great fun tho'! Your hallway makes me want to listen to an oboe concerto.👍Albinoni?

Looks really nice and the vintage art is a nice touch along with the chains. I think when the chain hooked onto the picture rail long ceiling, there was a medallion with a hook on the back to hook on the rail. I bet you could find something similar, or create your own........ GREAT IDEAS

Oh, Cami, this space is so lovely! I also love vintage art and a lot of these prints are ones I would have picked as well. My living room has picture rail and I got corded wither for hanging the art and hooks that are for picture rail. It looks similar to this. It really adds a nice touch.
