I've been intermittent fasting (usually One Meal a Day) for close to a year. I LOVE to eat & I feel like my love of food has been more celebrated while fasting! Crazy, but true!

I agree with you💯! I started OMAD in March of 2020. I lost 20 pounds in less than 3 months and have stayed within 5 pounds of my ‘comfortable' weight ever since. Honestly, it was easier when I did it full time those first three months than the way I do it now.. (a couple of days per week)… but I was losing too much weight so had to switch it up a little. I love that you are getting this information out to people who can truly benefit from it. It’s a great lifestyle!

I just read Fast. Feast. Repeat. and yesterday I started Delay, Don’t Deny. I’ve learned so much from Gin’s books and I’m learning from your videos and others as well. Fasting is so amazing. I NEVER thought in my wildest imagination that I would feel this way about not eating. I remember in my pre-fasting life feeling panicked if I started feeling hungry. It was like oh my gosh, I’m hungry I’ve got to eat now. Ahhhh!!! Where’s the food!!!! Now, breakfast and lunch time come and go for the most part unnoticed unless my grandkids are at my house. They’re always ready to eat. When I do feel hungry I drink some water or maybe black coffee or plain green tea. The hunger goes away. Being hungry is no longer an emergency. The freedom I’ve found with IF is such a gift.

Neat concept - "Maximization of Utility." Never heard of it. Nice to hear your mom and dad took the "IF" approach. I'm 70 years old, and when you're older, trust me, it is soooooo much harder to lose the weight when you've passed the menopausal stage of life. But IF seems to work with everyone, as I've learned watching people share success stories on KZbin. Plus I've watched my husband achieve great success. I started the 16:8 after I downloaded the ZERO app. I've just passed the 16 hours, enjoying my coffee. I might be able to go 18, since I'm experiencing no hunger. If you did a video of your mom and dad's success - let me know, I'd love to see it. You're a little charmer and I'm so glad I found your channel.

This is so encouraging!! Thank you, Jackie! Love all your videos. I started fasting a little after this past Christmas and am feeling so excited about the results so far. This is the greatest life hack ever. I listened to the audiobook of Fast Feast Repeat after I watched one of your videos and heard you recommend it. and it helped so much! And I appreciate you sharing so much of your journey here, and your sense of humor. Feels like hanging with a friend. Thanks again, and happy spring! 🌷

You have been SUPER encouraging to watch. My dad started IF last year & got his diabetes under control by doing ADF since he hates needles. Now his blood sugar levels are great & he has lost weight & feels great! I’m a foodie too & you have been a Game Changer inspiration in NOT feeling deprived while doing CLEAN fasting. My first huge change was to make my own cold brew espresso, which is SO smooth & I now PREFER to my former hot espresso with tons of half & half to cover the bitterness! I just use fresh roasted whole beans, do the coarsest grind & cover it with cold filtered water, stir & refrigerate overnight. I use cheesecloth to strain it. I now actually notice the individual flavors of different types of coffee beans. Drinking coffee with cream has been my OBSTACLE to clean IF and now that’s no longer an issue!

I started OMAD (one meal a day) a few months ago but stopped after a couple weeks because I believed I had reached my set point weight. By the way, I experienced exactly what you talk about here. Then I thought I could go to 2 meals a day....then came the slippery slope of eating earlier and earlier. Only on my 3rd day of Omad again, lost 5 pounds and hope to stay with it this time. Thank you for this very convincing and true video.

I totally agree with your comment about not being afraid to eat. I have been fasting daily for years, but I definitely have fear about when I open my eating window, and sometimes I feel like I just won't stop! Jackie's videos are helping me stop that fear. And Gin Stevens' books and understanding clean fasting have really helped me! Best wishes!

Thanks Jackie. 😊you are very inspiring ❤👏 I have been clean fasting for two months and I bought the book too. I go back to it often to get wisdom and inspiration too. Gin should give you a good commission 😉 I haven't lost a ton of weight BUT I have gone down a size and I feel so much better. I love to eat big portions and I love to try new things. I do try to stick to lower carb meals because I just feel yuck if I eat too many carb dense foods. My normal fasting window is 20 hours. That works the best for me and my schedule. Often I close my window after just an hour or two. I find that I don't crave junk food anymore. My foods now have to be "window worthy" and delicious 😋. Family gatherings are not stressful anymore. It's great. I just wish my body would cooperate with me a bit more. I also bought the scale you recommended! Thanks for your videos!!

Just adjust your eating window. You can adjust it by a couple of hours easily or open your window for a few hours longer. Read the book Fast Feast Repeat. It answers every question you could have. The first few days or even weeks you may think you feel hungry when your not. Your body is just used to eating more often. It gets easier. Just remember during your fast hours only have water, black coffee or black tea.even so much as a flavored water can break your fast. Good luck!

My advice (from my experience and not as a medical professional obviously) is to allow yourself to get used to the fast. When that is mastered, you'll likely adapt in your appetite and portions.... even if it takes a while. Good luck and don't lose faith if everything doesn't happen at once. I would say yes, but think about all the mindless eating that goes on during the day. If you are fasting, you aren't shoving stuff in your mouth all day.
