I love that you talk about how much freedom of choice you have with this lifestyle, big OMAD lady here, 80 pounds down and not depriving myself of delicious food is the best

You are very realistic in your journey in losing weight. So simple to follow and I completely agree with you. I found out that ''eating mindlessly'' is what caused my weight gain. But the way you describe your plan is simply ''eating MINDFULLY''. What a difference this makes between success and failure!

I really appreciate your ZERO idea. It really helped with my hunger and made it so easy, black and white, zero sum. I was past my eating time and I was into my fasting time and there was just no reason to eat because it was ZERO time. And I knew I was going to eat the next day at my eating time. So, I’ve been intermittent fasting for a little over a month now, and I’ve lost about 5 lbs, and (more importantly) I feel great - more energy and I know my body is benefiting from daily autophagy and ketosis. Thank you for being there, the support helps.

Great videos! I’ve been doing Omad for a couple months now and look and feel great. Just turned 57. My goal was to lose enough weight to get off my high blood pressure meds and I am down to half dose now. Admittedly I have tried to cram in all the nutrients I thought I needed into that one meal. That became very difficult. I would cram some form of protein, complex carbs, greens, flax for fiber, etc. And on top of that I was doing Keto too during that One meal. It got very difficult to do quickly. It’s nice to know that you don’t have to cram the entire food pyramid into one meal!!

Very inspiring. I was so worried about what I should and shouldnt eat. But having a freedom of choosing what I fancy sounds much better. Cose the truth is you dream if foods you deprive yourself of.

Hi Jackie, I have been watching all your videos! I have been carnivore for 36 days with good success. However, I know I will tire of meat only forever. To be honest I am nervous about eating carbs. I bought bagels today cause I watch you enjoy them. I was 24 hrs fasted and took a bite of a bagel and said to myself...what are you doing? Instead I got a bowl of roast beef in broth cause I love it! I've got brain work to do it look like! Love your videos and want to live free like you.

Just found you, and so glad you answered this question. Been doing IF for 2 weeks, and I keep worrying, even obsessing over whether I’m eating enough or too much, am I getting enough nutrients, etc. You’ve made me feel better. The only negative thing I’ve observed so far is heartburn. Have you had this and if so, how do you manage it??
@FastingFoodie3 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad you found this helpful! I didn't have heartburn, but I had other issues to deal with. I feel like once my body adjusted, I found I didn't have to continue to fight the same issues.

Hey, I like be how open you are about eating what you want on OMAD. And still maintain. Awesome. And yes one donut a week or candy once a week to good. Stay on good food healthy .

I wanted to share for others to know they don't HAVE to change their diet and implement IF. Overtime I do find my food preferences changing, but I definitely eat what sounds good!

How long did it take for you to no eat everything in sight when you break your fast? I have been fasting for 3 months, I try to wait 18-20 hours in between meals, I get one 24 hour fast in a week and last week had my longest fast of 28 hours. I am loving this path and know I am still a beginner.

I've never thought of a meat and cheese board as a dinner for my family 🤔

We do it when we have movie nights occasionally. Fresh or dried fruit, a baguette and meat and cheeses. Usually a cucumber or mini peppers. We all love it!! It just feels "fun" :) And definitely a rare option. Here is a video I made on one of the meals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pniadKJ8mq6ZiJI

@islandgirl5812 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, how can you say its OMAD when you are eating for 2/4 hrs? That's just IF in a 20/4 or 22/2 ratio. One meal a day is just that. Not a starter a meal and snacks over 4 hours surely. Im interested in your method and results but the OMAD label doesn't make sense.... To me anyway 😊

I buy the unscented HE Up&Up brand from Target. They have laundry deals occasionally (like spend $40, get $10 gift card) and the deals are very incentivizing to bulk up!

Have you ever had issues with night time snacking or eating beyond fullness?
@FastingFoodie3 жыл бұрын
Night time snacking, I might feel like I miss out on occasion, but not really. I still plan times where my window is open late to snack. I at times definitely eat more than I want to, but I don't worry about it as I feel like I will improve over time the longer I fast. Basically, slow and steady adjustments.
