Maylene has endured many storms in her life, but it was in the wake of the 2013 Moore, Oklahoma, tornado that she found the strength to truly rebuild her faith.
The day of the tornado, Maylene was ready to give up on a life that had completely overwhelmed her. Her second husband had left her to raise their children alone and she was working three jobs to keep the family afloat. She felt helpless. But after surviving the tornado that day, Maylene knew that she and her family could make it through anything with God’s help.
“My whole life, I’d felt abandoned. Like there were pieces missing. After the storm, God answered my prayers. He picked up the pieces and filled that void. I don’t ever have to feel like I’m going to be alone or abandoned again because He’s going to be there for me every step of the way.”

after the storm, i went back to the church, a-after the storm i went back to the church, i finished up my scriptures and i thanked the lord, i thanked the lord, and i wasnt even bored. This was the first thing that came into my head when i saw the title. Wonderful job Mormon Channel, this video really shows the power of love and faith.

I remember going to help the people of Moore after the tornado. The destruction was heartbreaking, especially the school. Despite the devastation, people were so willing to help one another, pushing aside any differences and just loving one another. While the death and destruction was horrific, something beautiful emerged from the wreckage that is hard to describe. Like a phoenix from the ashes.

Even when i feel alone, i always know im not alone. Still, i struggle, but i know that the lord will try the faith of his servants, so that when they have their footing spiritually... They will be great source of comfort to another of His children. This gives me strength when i feel weak.

After the storm reminds me when my ex left me and my kids for another woman. I was lost of what to do, whos going to watch my kids when im working. But thank God that he sent the holy spirit to remind me to trust in him and he will take care of me and the children. Although I struggled many times to provide for my family I never gave up my trust in Heavenly Father's Love. Yes, after the storm we made it with on our side.

I've personally been through a lot of very painful challenges in my life too, but I, like Job in the Bible declare: "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:" I will try to do all that I can to try to help Heal hearts for Heavenly Father.

I have authoritis in my lower spine and both hips, and the pain can be great enough to make me cry as it has done in the past. But when I look at some video here on KZbin and know of others who have greater pain than I, and know of there sad losses in there life, I consider my self to be a very lucky man, yes my pain is great but I do not have such sadness in my life as others do. I believe in Jesus/God so all I need to do is talk to God through Jesus and with that I get great comfort. It may not take my pain away but the comfort I get is amazing. I wander just how many out there who actually talk to God through Jesus? Give it a try some place where you wont get disturbed. It is well worth it trust me on this.
