Great video!, in the future can you make a tutorial for the correct taisabaki, te sabaki, ashi sabaki and tai sabaki and also exercises for hip development for the techniques , your tutorials are greats. greetings : )

does it take long to be able to apply some aikido moves in the street ?

+Barry Mclaughlin It's a tricky question. A lot really depends on the way you learn and the way Aikido is presented. The techniques themselves can be hard to apply in actual situations, yet the principles behind them should help. Now the question is: are you focusing on techniques or principles? If you understand how they work in general and are able to apply them naturally, there won't be a problem. But how much time it will take, it depends on where your focus will be.

Early you had asked: why does aikido losts it's popularity? Then youself continue this wrong way of nonfunctionality and gymnastic duration of aikido. As to me nobody can learn aikido before he do not get any realy masters skill of aikido technique . I do not see it you have or do not name it the aikdo skill.

+Vic Tor I appreciate your thoughts and concern, but I've never said that my personal focus in Aikido is technical mastery. I do work on techniques and appreciate them ( bit.ly/1HW3mJT ) but that is why I said: "Do not compare chess to football". Aikido for me is a way of self-development and self-realization and I do not claim to be an excellent fighter, I do not compare myself to MMA or BJJ. I do the best I can to live a great life and help other in doing so and trust me, it really works, and it's very popular in my Dojo/city because of it. There are so many martial arts that work on self-defense and combative situations and I am doing and teaching Aikido not for those reasons. Nothing have against your true way and keep you in it . I just try to answer your question about decline of interest to aikido art. As to me It is not necessary to name everything that you show as aikido. May be "some elements from aikido"? And for term an "aikido" leave realy somthing from aikido art. Sorry for my bad English.
