Before learing the meaning of the songs, aint got no i got life made me feel more powerful, after years of bullying and domestic violence, my self esteem was almost inexistent, over the years i learned how to hate myself less, but with this song, i started loving myself. I´m a latinoamerican man, in a latinoamerican country, always stayed in the middle class, and i´ve never been discriminated by my skin. I feel like this song wasn´t originally for people like me, but at the same time, is one of the few things in the world that makes feel good about myself. sorry if something is bad written, english is not my first language

When I first heard it, I played it constantly for weeks and weeks. This is one of the greatest songs ever written and I will love it forever. This song is about the reality of freed slaves in the US, a sad part of world history that will never be erased or healed. It's a damage that is done against humanity and all we can do now, it's to educate our children to be kind to each other so the past don't repeat itself. Black lives will always matter, same for Native American lives! I love the cultural contributions of Black America! The best of all!
