I love breaded mushrooms, and have just bought myself an air fryer, so I thought I'd give this recipe a go... No matter what I did, I could not get the breadcrumb mix to stick to my mushrooms. Eventually I had to just kinda stuff them with the mix, but there was no crust round the outside, cos it wouldn't stick. I don't know what I did wrong :(

Sorry it didn’t work. Did you dip the mushrooms in egg before rolling them in bread crumbs?

@@BubblesSong hmmm sorry no idea why they didn't stick. I've seen some recipes where mushrooms are first dipped in flour, then in egg, then in bread crumbs. Try it with flour, maybe it will make a difference

Put the push rooms between paper towel and microwave a few minutes it will have the natural water of the mushroom come out and the towel will absorb it. Once it cools then it will work easier

You shouldn’t wash mushrooms, just brush off any soil
