Thanks for taking the time to do this. I just had a failure today, pretty sure water froze in the manifold. Only the front left valve leaks, but the air comes out the back of the manifold from the center seam (where the top and bottom outer halves meet). I think the o rings got out of place or got ripped from the ice expanding in the manifold. Might try to do this before ordering a new one (or just go back to stock suspension for now lol)

If you still have the warranty call airlift If not take off the bottom cap and and the 2 screws on the sides and put it in the oven for 30 to 45 min. I used 250 temp. Helps get the moisture out.

Nice video. I'm gonna run 3 water traps. 2 in between my 2 compressors and tank and 1 between my manifold and tank.
@MrTheHillfolk2 жыл бұрын
I'm definitely adding another one. I've got the one from the kit on the tank outlet going to the manifold, and being familiar with shop air and whatnot that thing looks really small. I've got a spare one for the shop that I think I'm going to plumb in after the first one. My system is mostly hidden ,but has easy access for draining the trap I've already got. The second one can be a little more hidden, as it's only to catch water if the first one doesn't get drained often enough. And I'm still building the car so it's not too hard at this point to go back in.

Hey people if you dont have new o-rings take it from me do NOT NOT NOT drop any if them… I dropped one of the small black ones for the plungers and never found it… I wound up using a plastic one and the manifold apparently did NOT like it and when I out it back i wasnt paying attention to the controller instead focusing on leaks… there were no leaks but I didnt know that the damn manifold kept filling the bags until one exploded. I quickly unplugged it and had to cut the lines to release the pressure.

@windjlw9918 Жыл бұрын
@@BrownEye02 did you just swap your sensor out and it fixed? or is this a theoretical fix that hasn’t been confirmed
@BrownEye02 Жыл бұрын
@@windjlw9918 I was able to successfully fix my manifold by replacing my front left sensor. My issue was a sensor fault of course but would read 0 even after letting it sit in the house on a heater for a week. I'd highly recommend removing your manifold and letting it sit on a heater vent in the house or putting it in rice for at least a couple days to hope that your issue is simple moisture in the sensor. If that doesn't fix it though then you for sure have a bad sensor or debris in the sensor. I'd recommend following my recent post on checking the sensors with a multimeter to confirm. You can separate the needle end from the sensor body but the sensors are VERY sensitive and my bad one I ended up damaging even more when I did it. Was just curious as I think mine failed due to some Teflon tape making its way in. That or some assembly grease.
@windjlw9918 Жыл бұрын
@@BrownEye02 yea your the only one that’s really talking about this fault and a solution, i don’t have warranty and don’t see the reasoning for spending 900ish for a new manifold when it’s merely a sensor replacement. drop your email or some way i can contact you bro. id appreciate the help

@thatbaggedboostedsrt2 жыл бұрын

@djkarloshouston2 жыл бұрын
I was having that issue a lot bacn then.. but im prety sure i found the issue, normally you get that warning when you have over pressure in the tank, the manifold gets into safe mode and sends that code... for example, i go to gym and leave my car getting direct sun and with high tempetures, my tank being in full pressure and getting heat, the pressure expands, and the manifold enters in safe mode or pressure sensor fault. i made an experiment, and left the car again with direct sun light and high temperatures outside the parking lot, but this time the solution was to leave the tank half empty, and there you have it. . no more faults.. and i did notice the pressure was higher than before when i came back from the gym to my car. . remember you have some water in the tank, and with the heat the water condensates and creats more air in the thank....im so sure airlift knows this, but i bealive the dont say nothing about ot bcuz they run a bussines and that type of stuff gets the more manifod purchases when the manifold its not under warranty no more. I hope this its helpful for anyone out there having headaches bcuz of that pressure sensor fault thing lol .. and just to let yall know i havent got that issue any more, and i did not change the maifold either. and just for the record I run the 5 gallon tank and 2 compressors.. yalls may be diferent but its the same concept.

If those parts are proprietary to air lift ,you won't find a substitute unless it's aftermarket, and even then it might be patented or whatever, and that means the aftermarket can't even reproduce them for 10 or 20yrs(when the patent runs out). O rings and stuff like that are easier to match up. If air lift is having them made by someone ,you might be able to find out but doing all that is a lot of research. Makes me wonder how much stuff they get "off the shelf" and if so from who, or do they produce those valves in house.
