I got a standard/black AirSense 10 AutoSet in February (2017) and in the clinicians menu there are options for 'Soft' and 'Standard' under the 'Response' setting.

I have tried both machines and the Airsense 10 Autoset for her works great for me. The other algorithm was too strong and kept waking me up.

I have a question: if I purchase a Resmed For Her CPAP, can I select it to work as an Airsense 10 Autoset, that is, can I select that it automatically works with the standard algorithm instead of the "For Her" algorithm?

Hi this was great thanks. Can you tell me, does the pressure on the 'for her' machine stay up at say 7.5 after an event or does it adjust back down to five (unike the standard machine?) If so, when? Thanks.

Old video.. Don't know if you will see this. I have a new RM Aircurve 10 VAuto that was just picked up and I'm 8 days in. However, a neighbor passed and they were selling her AirSense 10 Autoset "for her". So, I'm not a "her". Is this something that my DME can program for me? Are the algorithms set so that a guy couldn't use it? I think I realize mine is BiPAP and this AirSense is a CPAP.. In a crunch.. or camping trip.. Is it likely it can be programmed for me? Your thoughts?

Is the machine set automatically or is there something in the settings that have to be changed to the For Her mode?

I am really hesitating between which apap machine to get. I tried the dreamstation for two months and found that it took longer for it to detect events and increase pressure. I was always over five events. Then I tried the resmed airsense 10 black version and my levels are now below five but I sometimes wake up from the burst of air. So I was wondering if I should buy the female version? I believe it comes with a gray faceplate without flowers too? What’s your opinion I know the three are good machines. And what about the Fisher & Paykel icon plus? Thanks for your great videos!

I have a video planned on covering this topic. To make it short, I would feel more comfortable with the DreamStation if you plan on using it in Auto. It is more conservative which is a good thing. If you are having a large number of apneas or hypopneas when you turn your machine on initially, then you would just need to increase your starting pressure. The range on APAPs should be narrow and the increase speed and frequency should be conservative.

I wasn't expecting a reply so soon I really like your videos and I ended up buying the dreamstation and I like it now:) At first I was getting too many "events" over 8 index so I played around with the flex settings it was at level 3 on c flex and I put it on a flex but gradually brought it down to level one on a flex and increased my minimum pressure from five to six . Now it's perfect and my levels of events have dropped to two! Very pleased thanks for your help and keep up the good work!

Hi gr8 post I am a male overweight diagnosed with sever sleep apnia and it's recomended to get bi-flex pressure 14 level 2 or auto cpap pressure 12 to 16 and am going to get the resmed s10 I guess it's one the best but do u think get auto resmed s10 for her would give more range of pressuer and easy to addaped with I really need your urgent feedback
