I think the problem with the cat mode story is that it doesn't seem entirely consentual. From how she writes it, it doesn't seem like he has at any point communicated that this is a thing he is into and sort of just springs this on her. I think they need to have a discussion about this and maybe even break up if they aren't interested in the same things idk

Exactly. No problem if that's his thing as a kink or some kind of trauma work or both, but forcing that on someone and saying that they have to let you could just be a conflict of compatibility. No one has to take baggage or interest in things that make them uncomfortable just because. You talk that out, communicate and find a way to either balance it so both parties are happy, or you explain that this is one sided and that's not okay. Most people could work something out if they just talked. There are plethora of ways that she might be comfortable or even in to for him to express this. Also, it being just comedic and not even a kink or trauma expression to work through it, means that he thinks his comedic entertainment matters more than his girlfriends comfort. Possible he doesn't realize it and thinks she's making a big deal over something he finds harmless and silly, but that the thing, emotions and feelings do matter in relationships.

I would not be surprised if he has autism too (Not uncommon to have both ADHD and Autism) as the trouble with understanding or recognizing intent in others is a common issue. Some autists I know, myself included when I am unsure, have learned to just plain ask what someone meant by x or y and clarify, because it's better to know than to wonder or speculate which causes anxiety and stress. Sometimes it's interesting to see the result, because sometimes people don't know or weren't willing to admit a specific intent and wanted to dance around a topic because they are uncomfortable being blunt about their own feelings.

For the healthcare worker who doesn’t shower: shower chair bestie. It’s a game changer. If you’re physically disabled or mentally struggling it’s way easier than standing in the shower. Another good solution although not necessarily anti-viral or anti-bacterial, is baby wipes. I have been guilty of the baby wipe bath but it’s way easier when I’m not mentally doing my best

for the no shower gf=> i think if its a mental thing (totally get it, been there) highly recommend getting some professional help; if professional help is out of the budget due to time constraints/ financial issues/etc, definitely recommend rinse free bath wipes. or even getting one of those shower chairs or just a normal chair/ stool with a grip mat to prevent slipping and also help if the phys issues are chronic illness that may cause her to feel tired when taking a shower. point is, she needs to shower and get clean! once a week is not enough for anyone and its becoming an issue of infection. very thankful the partner seems v understanding of her situation

I don’t see flirting as cheating, I think it’s really just a matter of personal opinion and comfort levels in a relationship.
