Alan is one of the good ones, always been humble you never hear anyone speak bad about him. A doll when he was younger too!

I served overseas and we eventually had to take turns on different types of music. So I like almost every style of music from classical piano, country, rock, R&B, rap, grunge, to heavy metal

Alan Jackson was my first favorite artists, from when I was about 4 years old in the mid 1900's. Chattahoochee was the first song of his that hooked me over the radio.. I used to spend entire days with my dad in an empty body shop, insanely bored out of my mind. And the only thing I had to look forward to on those days was that song and "Carrying Your Love With Me" by George Strait coming on the shop radio. That was the only highlight I had on those days.

5:35 - More people need to know about the performance in that video clip. That was the opening performance to the CMA Awards in the late 90's. The legend George Jones was supposed to open the show by singing his song "Choices". But the CMA's wanted him to shorten the song. George refused and boycotted the show. So the CMA's got Alan Jackson to perform his song "Pop A Top". After the band finished their solos in the song, the band stops and they start playing the chorus to George Jones' song called "Choices". Everyone in the audience, including other artists, stood and cheered. It was like Alan was symbolically giving the middle finger to the CMA's in a classy way for not letting the legend George Jones perform his whole song. Immediately after the performance was finished, they all left the stage, got on their bus and left the building. Alan Jackson was on a country music talk show on TNT the next night, and he talks about why he did it. Then that show had George Jones call in and he told Alan how proud he was of him. You can find both videos of his performance and that interview if you search "Alan Jackson Choices".

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26
