The mid-2000s was such a great time for music, people don't give the past decade the credit it deserves. The 80s and 90s are legends but there is so much to treasure from the last decade. You have a lot of potential great content to watch! My suggestions if you haven't done these already: Avenged Sevenfold's Beast and the Harlot, Three Days Grace's It's Not Too Late, Chevelle's Send the Pain Below and My Chemical Romance's Famous Last Words

Lithium for the dark and heavy melancholic atmosphere and Sweet Sacrifice for the aggression and the overall madness. Both songs have great vocals and amazing videos to accompany them.

I’ll be upfront, I’m not an Evanescence super fan but I will say this this is a song for the ages, beautifully constructed, haunting lyrics sung to absolute perfection and it’s also awesome to watch the live versions on KZbin. It’s just a killer song played and sung to a point where it’s impossible to criticise and will forever be timeless.

I totally understand your point that this song would just melt the room, and turn people into puddles.. However, I don't mean to sound like an ass, but why did your gf choose this song when it's obviously about a failed relationship, and not suicide? Just a weird choice for me. Anyways, I've had a few friends that died young, and I drew portraits for their families, since art is the thing I'm good at.

Amy's heart is coming through in both her voice and her lyrics. The band coming in at the end is icing on the cake. On the album "Fallen" there's 2 versions of this song, what we just heard and a pure piano instrumental. Awesome stuff, and FYI, everyone who listens to Amy has a musical crush on her... Her hubby is a lucky man.

I saw this version of this song (it's the "band version" - the regular album version didn't have the heavy instrumental but was instead more piano/violin like the rest of the song) live in Atlanta, and it was _absolutely amazing._ It started with just Amy and a keyboard, with the rest of the band creeping into position as she sang the bridge to the instrumental. They then crushed the instrumental with the hardest, nastiest, most brutally poignant thirty-ish seconds of audio imaginable, and faded back to just Amy and a keyboard to sing out the rest. The whole crowd remained silent for a couple seconds after Amy finished. Thousands of people just stopped and had a moment.
