Paper Mario TTYD still has the crash problem when the dodgy effect comes into play in battle. So overall that game requires ryujinx.

@italoinacio4901 There are no VRAM leaks; the game is running at 1800P with several mods to improve visual quality, such as disabling film grain and improving render distance. 1800P does indeed consume a lot of VRAM.

Thanks for this comparison. What about Mario Kart 8 in split screen? This game was performing badly on Yuzu when playing split screen on older PCs, and steam deck.

Try CEMU - I used to run MK8 on CEMU with my third-gen i5 and a GTX 970, even using the 60FPS mod in splitscreen and managed to play with up to 4 players. I know the Switch version has better content, but it's an option for playing on weak PCs.

depends on your OS and what the emulators run, nvidia runs better on windows but if you take into account that the emulator might be running vulkan it might not be such a clear cut case AMD 1 will probably do well if you are using linux. Nvidia technically has "better drives" and more support from microsoft, recent case is the throttle on win11 with AMD GPU due to lack of support by windows.

Shame that the source code available does not have compilation instructions to run sudachi on linux. Running standard build like cmake complains about submodules, that even initializing this as git repo are not recovered. Is there a possibility for an AppImage for us modest linux gamers?

@incarnate3137 Try doing a completely fresh install, choose a new folder, and reload the keys and firmware. This happened to me in the past. If it still doesn't work, locate the Sudachi config folder and delete the folder called "config." You won't lose your saves, but it will reset all the Sudachi configurations, such as the folders where the games are stored and controller profiles.

@@incarnate3137 try running it in portable / folder mode. See if you can get it to work that way. that's how my yuzu runs don't know if its that way by default but always found it harder to manually selectively back things up when they're in folders like appdata.

Maybe it would be better to stick with Ryujinx. In Yuzu forks, we no longer see performance gains, though there are some bug fixes. New games tend to work first on Ryujinx, so if you're getting good performance, it’s worth having Ryujinx as your main emulator and using Sudachi only for Zelda TotK.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. After Yuzu's official decline, there's no more real benefit, even though sometimes the Sudachi changelog mentions reduced memory usage. In practical use, it's the same thing.
