It was possible to contain the Soviet Union because they contained themselves. They did not let foreigners in. They did not come out to the world to interact and trade. If they came out, they themselves said that the ultimate purpose was to change your country into communist and thus nobody trusted them. China is now the number one trading partner for 140 countries in the world. That trade benefits both sides. China now invests heavily in many countries in the world and that benefits the countries receiving the investments. China does not have a globalized ideology and does not try to tell other countries how to run their own affairs, making China a more attractive partner than the US. Why should any country cut their ties with China to please the US? Is the US offering to compensate those countries for their losses if they were to do so? Militarily, it's still 800 US bases overseas versus China's 1 base in Djibouti. US patrols warships through the Taiwan Strait and will fight China over Taiwan, versus China only occasionally appearing off the coast of Alaska. So, the problem is that America can still show off its asymmetrical power if it wants. @@schloops8473 absolutely I possess an adamant standpoint regarding citizen's rights. But the question is different here. Over the question of world hegemony, you are not a sole indicator who will decide which country will be exerciser of world power. Apart from this, based on paradoxical standpoint, no country even no man has right to exercise power in any region. My last and ultimate stand is that "Art of compromise " is highly needed in world politics otherwise the scenario will be like what is happening Russia and Ukraine. You know, I hope, Art of compromise is not a matter of defeating itself rather it will bring peaceful coexistence among countless diversified world that should be the ultimate goal for our existence as well. We are not on a standpoint which supports the secrecy of China in every aspect of country or the unethical bellicose mentality of the US. That's my point.

I totally agree with this guy. I think that thinking about India's integration with China is worth considering for all of the productivity , and regional stability.... the growth of India and development of Asean...I think India must look internally to ensure that its growth is not stunted because all of the income is going to the 1%, like modern capitalist nation.
