Idk why but in this generation I like the A3 hatchback normal models more over the sedan, whereas I liked the sedan more in the previous gen, however I think the sedan looks better in RS form. Also that 5 Cylinder is such a beautiful sounding motor. Audi’s 5 cylinders and BMW 6 cylinders I think are the best motors in a car today in terms of sedan/hatches/suvs. I say that because the V8 they put out day aren’t very usable with 100kmh - 120kmh speed limits, whereas these you can still use their power despite sticking to the speed limit.

@@autogefuehl I agree...I own a previous S3 and it's a very good all rounder...the new S3 has lost a bit of its cabin class IMHO. The new RS3 delivers the cabin class and offers very good handling combined with the best engine in its class...I now have it on my shortlist.
@luciussander82173 жыл бұрын
@@douglasb.5601 The S3 and RS3 have the same cabin. If you are referring to the colour packs, well, take away the stupid strips in the vents, it does liven things up. But then in the UK, there aren't options you can order. For me, the S3 looks a bit lame, almost like Audi has deliberately dumbed it down, they even gave it less power than a Golf R. Whereas the RS3 is the opposite - they've actually made a proper RS of it. Mines order, can't wait...
@douglasb.56013 жыл бұрын
@@luciussander8217 Sorry, you've missed my point. I'm comparing it to the previous S3. The latest S3 does not interest me at all...I think it's a downgrade from the previous gen S3...the new RS3 however..lovely. I'm not too keen on the design pack (which we can't get in the UK)...although I would like the option for the coloured stitching. The point I was trying to make is that the previous S3 was a great all rounder and the RS3 was the straight line rocket. Now I think the RS3 is the better all rounder and trumps the new S3 in every department. 👍🏻😎

Hi Thomas, You always mention animal free or not for seats. Little question that nobody thinks about, what do we do with the leather of the cows / calves / oxen that we kill to eat. Do we throw everything in the trash? Personally, I prefer it to be used for seats that will last the whole life of the vehicle. What's your point on this? I would appreciate you clarify why using leather is so critical. Thanks for your reviews, very professional and I don't miss any :)

Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. As a start, please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIHCdKmCocZ5oqs In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which body part you would murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpzNdHSjppaSbqc Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2qXiouAbJeIiqM Not using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.

@@deanandy7777 it’s only 400 HP, barely what a Q50 AWD is putting out. That car does low 4s 0-100 kph. Tesla Model 3 is 490 hp. 0-60 mph in 3.1. No way a stock RS3 at 400 hp is beating a Model 3 DMP.

Love the RS 3 😍 Can you explain though, why in one RS 3 the steering wheel is that later style (which looks so good), then in another the steering wheel appears to be the older, more current style?

I think the hatchback is still in the “gen 2” while the sedan went into “gen 3”.. I think, don’t hold my word for that 😅

I find the exhaust really muted, were those cars equipped with performance exhaust? I hope not, cuz it would be really sad

I'm not an Audi person, but I really like this car. Too bad they don't bring the crazy colors to USA. It's usually just the boring greys and whites.

I so wish the hatch was available in USA. For years now we have been getting sedans only. Audi, please get the hatch to the states
