Paul's your facial expressions are the best part, even with all these great solos. You can feel it and it shows.

Partial to Tim Pierce's playing and Rhett Shull did a great job as well. All of them were stellar really.

@4:36 absolutely killed it for me with those sweet melodic tunes at the end. Found it to be the most consistent one with the style of the track. Bluesy, a little bit dreamy, but above all, sexy as fuck.

Chris Buck is the unofficial King of the Mountain for me. The guy is a bottomless well of inspired playing. The intros to all of his KZbin segments are just breathtaking.

I got Chris 2nd here, just by a I hair. I love the muted tones in this solo, but Tim's fat sound combined with fast and clean wins me over.
@markcolvin81292 жыл бұрын
Chris Buck's playing is like liquid-y, syrupy goodness. Everything flows and his dynamics are gold. I enjoyed every single one of those solos and they should all be proud of their creativity and musicality.

This was simply gorgeous! Yes, Chris Buck somehow managed to stand out...in a sea of beauty. There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe what Chris and the rest of the participants bring to the table in this video. Thank you for creating this!!!

Super cool idea, I love it! All the entries were fantastic but Pete Thorn really stole the show. Whoever says they all sound the same isn't listening very carefully. That's the coolest thing about this. Give a simple chord progression to a handful of talented artists and they all come up completely different takes!

You have to love Paul's reactions to everyone's solos given how many times he has probably listened to them on repeat haha!
@Aaron-ot3uv2 жыл бұрын
@Zoltán Bereczki I totally get that! I try to give him a pass on the acting skills though. After watching enough of his videos I do believe that he is genuine in his intentions. I think he really does want to be positive and show respect for other people's skills/styles and believes that a rising tide for the guitar/music industry will lift all boats. And if that is indeed the case, then I appreciate that he pushes through the awkward and, in spite of it, still decides to include a positive and respectful reaction to the other artists. BUT, if he has bamboozled me, and it isn't coming from a place of authenticity, then yes - it's a bit cringy and would be disingenuous.

Good P-90 showing. You're still kind of hard pressed to find a guitar with P-90's if you walk into a guitar shop. You used to almost NEVER see one in a shop. But they've really come into their own since they dance the line between single coil chime and humbucker growl and sweet and dirty.
