Hearing Josh talking about having the trophy in Blizzard World reminded me of the idea I got a couple days ago of making a map skin for OWL Grand Finals or even for the winners (on Blizzard World of course). Or even just having fire works popping the little colored plastics chunks when a team captures point A (you know, the ones they used to blow when a team won a stage)

as quite possibly the only person who has played more widow 1v1s than bren - there is a real theory and meta to it and once you get enough hours in it kind of becomes flowcharty. the difficulty is in recognising what situation u are in, which if u do correctly making the correct decision is relatively easy (and then hitting the shot is a % chance). variables are - range, height, movement (standing, crouching, jumping, hooking), scope in time, and scouting. e.g. 1) if you are standing already scoped in a long range duel and you hear the enemy hook, you know they cannot start scoping in until they reach the apex of the hook. if you can swipe far enough upwards you will reach 200 dmg charge first, and get an easy predictible trajectory shot. if you have to unscope and rescope in order to look up high enough, they will reach 200 dmg first and you are better off hiding behind cover or crouching looking down and facing away to hide your head till you hear their feet land. note - the longer the range the easier it is to flick all the way up to counter a hook shot bc u have to move your arm less. e.g. 2) mid range duel where you both know where each other are, and the enemy has just fired a shot and missed. you have the scope in advantage, so the "correct" thing to do is hold the angle and wait for them to peek you, since a slow peek will be a free kill since you will see their shoulder first, and a fast peek will be free because they won't scope in before you can react. however, they have a few counter strat options - the first being the prescoped jump peek. they will reach 200 dmg right after the crest of their jump and will only peek once already in the air and therefore surprise/potentially upset your crosshair placement. after a lot of hours you begin to expect this one as well as the regular slow/fast peeks, so the other option is for them to jiggle peek while unscoped, bait out your shot so they flip the scope in advantage back to them, and then peek you first with the next one. the final option is a fast peek but with a crouch - this just makes up for the late scope in time from a running peek by crouching to buy a couple hundred ms or so, but can be countered easily by an above-average reaction time. these are just two examples but there are actually not that many variables and eventually you can chart out every single type of interaction you see in a widow 1v1 as you see them over and over again. watch out for these during the all star game!! it's so fun and i love how just a 1v1 can have such a deep meta

It's also a really difficult thing to referee. I bet if someone violates it, there won't be any consequences. It's like street basketball, the subjective nature of a foul leads to favoring the player who errs on the side of aggression rather than caution.

Brig & Zen actually both kind of go with a spread out comp like that. Lucio/Bap I think would be way worse, and Torb would be awful in that comp with no barrier just like Bastion. Hog is kind of good until his upcoming nerf too. Maybe DVa + Zarya.
