Speaking of John the Baptist - “For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb”.-Luke 1:15 Babies are people in the womb. Clumps of cells or "not yet a person" type arguments do not explain how God could fill a person with His Spirit while still in the womb.

I understand what you mean by those terms, but please be careful when using those terms. Conception used to be synonymous with fertilization. But those definitions have changed in recent editions of Stedman's Medical Dictionary. The uniting of the sperm and the egg is now called fertilization. Conception is now defined as the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterus. "Until recently, conception was synonymous with fertilization. In fact, in the 26th edition of Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, conception was defined as the “act of conceiving, or becoming pregnant; fertilization of the oocyte (ovum) by a spermatozoon to form a viable zygote.”5 Conception was defined as the time of fertilization. However, something interesting happened in the next five years. In the 27th edition of Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, conception is defined as follows: “Act of conceiving; the implantation of the blastocyte in the endometrium.” answersingenesis.org/sanctity-of-life/when-does-life-begin/ Thought you might like that article since you will be speaking there next year.

Biologically the zygote (once the sperm and egg genes combine) produces distinct protein polysaccharide markers on all of the cell membranes that are different from the mother's. The mother's antibodies would actively destroy the embryo if the placenta did not protect this new, separate human. This is one of many reasons scientifically, a new living human is defined at the time of conception.

Every person he talks to he is constantly reminding them that he has the moral high ground because he is representing Christ. Sadly, everything he stands for is what Jesus died for. To have your church named Metanoia Church and openly celebrate sin is a clear sign of the times we now live in. They will not only practice such things but give approval and celebrate those who practice them.

I remember hearing my sons heartbeat for the first time and seeing my son jump around 12-14 weeks for the first time. That lil nose and forehead🥰 we posted his picture on our fridge and looked at him everyday. I played piano and music for him constantly. My wife’s body change and we began feeling him kick and respond to our voices. So many of our friends also felt him kicking and seeing him move before he was even born. When he was born it wasn’t like we met him..it was more of just confirmation that the little baby we felt and saw on a tiny screen was in fact that same baby we heard crying for the first time upon delivery. He’s over a year old now and his persona, attitude, and energy did not simply come from the time he spent with us at home..but it was an extension of everything he was already showing us during my wife’s pregnancy. Just at 8 weeks alone I could not believe just how alive he really was..not just in our hearts but literally moving and hearing his heart beat. I’m sure he had dreams. When I hear about abortion it sickens me to think some people don’t consider someone like my son before delivery to actually be a human..or living. It’s sickening to think so many precious babies didn’t get to see light, didn’t get to jump up and down in the dirt..didn’t get to smile for family photos because their life was ended way too short. It’s one thing for a baby not to make it all the way to delivery..it’s another evil for grown adults to purposely stop that Precsious baby from living. Thank God our baby made it and was born healthy…it’s a dream come true❤️

In my mind, I rationalize and justify abortion using the same logic that I use to rationalize and justify pulling the plug on someone in a deep coma. Science teaches us that fetuses in the first trimester have about the same level of sentience as a person in a persistent vegetative state. Imagine that someone I knew were in a coma. Even if there is a chance that the patient might recover, you could still legally pull the plug on them. If a loved one of mine were in a coma, recovery would require expensive surgery and/or the patient is likely to have a bad quality of life and/or the survival of the patient would cause an inconvenience for someone else, it would not guarentee me pulling the plug, there is a chance that I might seek the surgery and medical treatment necessary for the patient to recover, but even one of those above conditions being met would make me far more likely to pull the plug. Whether or not pulling the plug is the right choice is a complex issue that varies greatly on a case by case basis, as is the case with abortion. There exist instances where people choose abortion and they shouldn't, that does not mean that I believe abortion should be out lawed, the same can be said about euthanasia.

Month later I miscarriage when I went to the hospital they told me I had a spontaneous abortion that my uterus was empty. I was heart broken when I got home that day I passed my baby and it looked human just very tiny . I blamed my self I had nothing but hate for myself. As mother the safest place for your baby should be your womb . So that event made me 100%pro life on a positive note my body was still acting pregnant a few weeks later I found out I was still pregnant that I was pregnant with twins and had miscarried one of them .I am grateful to God every day for him. As a nurse who has volunteered and worked in a pro life pregnancy center, I can attest that not one young lady that I was involved with that chose to abort her baby did so because of health reasons. The choice was primarily made because it did not fit into their plans or lifestyle. I would like to add that for most, this decision is very difficult and one they struggle with because they have been deceived by our culture and blinded by the father of lies. We see many that come back to us for help because they are emotionally and mentally wrecked after they have gone through with the abortion. My heart breaks for these young women who are now left with a choice that can't be reversed. We offer programs and counseling, among other resources, for these women. It is very sad.

Viability, in my professional medical scientific world, is when we see a heart beat. also, fetal viability is completely* subjective to medical technology in a given time and place. the definition of human life and humanity, and when it begins, must be objective and universal. the viability standard is arbitrary. **I suppose that again depends on the definition of viability… is a fetus viable if they need an incubator or some other machine to live outside the womb, or only need the mother’s care? I’d define viability as the ability to survive, with any level of assistance, as long as that assistance is able to be given… but regardless, the viability standard is still arbitrary, and therefore irrelevant.

People on life support are not “viable.” Many 30 year olds living at home are not “viable” as they are completely dependent on their parents for survival. An argument can be made people on welfare of any sort are not “viable” as they are incapable of taking care of themselves. If viability is the threshold of which to determine a life can be terminated, that is an simply a horrible argument.

@@brandonjade2146 Human life is an umbrella term. It can include human cell, human tissue ,human organ etc. When you undergo a surgery you are not committing a genocide , when you masturbate you are not committing a genocide, when you amputate a leg its not genocide either , If you receive a kidney transplant you are not carrying another human being are you? Human 'beings' are viable living being and are capable of surviving outside the womb without being BIOLOGICALLY DEPENDENT on BIOLOGICAL MOTHER for its survival and growth. A zygote , an embryo and a non viable fetus cannot accomplish this and therefore fails to deserve the status of a 'Human Being ' even though they are a sort of human life or living organism. A zygote can reach the status of Human being only IF THE MOTHER CHOOSES to. A zygote is not a human being or person therefore it doesn't deserve ' THE RIGHT TO LIFE ' as only human beings can have the right to life.

Exactly, there was EXTREME emotion when I miscarried at 20 weeks (baby died at 15 weeks, but had not passed). I’ve never been more sad in my life. @@Rainbows78 I cannot imagine the pain and hardship you faced through that! I am so happy you have your kiddos now though ❤ And yea that is true. The whole reason we need to stop abortion is because of how wrong it is ... aka it stirs up an emotional response inside of us - AS IT SHOULD ... the only reason anyone stands for anything is because of true raw emotion. the simple solution to the dangerous “back alley” abortion problem is simple: don’t procure and back alley abortion. or better yet, don’t get pregnant in the first place, if you don’t want to have a child. and I’ve been hearing the argument that banning abortion would actually _increase_ the number of abortions… how is this physically, logically possible? at very worst, the number of abortions would stay the same, though I find that all but impossible.
