I stand😅 it was only recently when I first heard this debate that I found out it wasn’t the norm😂 It’s more of a squat stand though. I think when people are saying they stand, they don’t mean straight up, they mean more of a hover crouch. Love you guys together so much! So freaking fun and entertaining❤

Rachel, I love when you and Colleen podcast together. I know it means you have to stay out late to podcast. I just want to thank you for doing so as it’s such a great podcast when it’s a sister podcast episode. You two make me laugh, it feels like a catch upon your friendship as I know your life is so busy and Colleen is so busy that it feels like some of the old vlogs when you two travelled together. Just a more grown up version. Please keep Colleen in your rotation. I’d love always sister podcast if something else on your channels had to go away. I agree with Colleen you two could talk for hours. I love seeing the positive energy you bring to each other. It’s so fun to watch. You are both are in different places in life, but when you and Colleen come together it is an absolute joy to watch. Thank Rachel and Colleen!

Menopause talk. It’s body aches. Rage. Hair loss. Heart palpitations. Holding weight in the belly. Brain fog. Headaches. Everything hurts all the time. Lack of sex drive. Insomnia. That’s just some of the symptoms. I’m 53. I tell my daughters about it all because I swear no one told me how it would be and I want them to know so they can talk to their significant other about it. I feel like a form of perimenopause/menopause in women and men both happen. We just call men’s the mid life crisis. And the combo of the two especially with men wanting to prove themselves as a real man with lots of sex and women wishing they wanted sex but have no desire for it causes a lot of long term marriages to end because it’s not talked about and people give up because they don’t talk like they should nor do they know about it and think the worst when it’s really just life. So open the conversation. Talk about it. Teach others. Teach your children. It’s s struggle but talking about it makes a huge difference and really knowing about it does too.

YES! And there should be way more discussions around HRT and that the WHI studies in the early 90's were torn apart and errors were made in making associations that weren't there. HRT is safe for the vast majority of the population and actually improve certain health measures such as bones, gut, heart, etc. Estrogen is such an important hormone and for doctors to down play the seriousness of dropping estrogen levels is disgusting whether it be the mental/emotional impact or any of the others. This is the most common discussion with doctors. Woman: Doctor I'm getting hot flashes, weight gain, insomnia and I'm really irritable. I think I might be menopausal or perimenopausal. Doctor: Here's an antidepressant. What?! They mostly help with hot flashes, the least bothersome symptom of the myriad that lowering estrogen causes. I've even had them recommend an ANTI-PSYCHOTIC!! Like we literally have ESTROGEN to replace the ESTROGEN that is missing and they offer anti-depressants and anti-psychotics! The medical practitioners are the psychotic ones. Estrogen does help with hot flashes but it also helps with mood swings, dryness, insomnia, heart health, bone health, gut health and nutrient absorption and so much more. Who knew replacing the thing that's low with the actual thing that's low would be the most helpful. We HAVE to educate ourselves and advocate for ourselves. Otherwise we will never know about the much better options for managing our overall health. Also, HRT has way fewer side effects than anti-depressants and anti-psychotics and depending on the method, are pretty low cost. So, they are low cost, low risk and effective. What are they not getting. Smh.

The standing to wipe shouldn’t be a big issue! I do it. And no, I’m not completely standing all the way up. I’m just standing in a semi sitting position so I can reach my hand from my front to reach my butt crack. I physically have a hard time reaching from the back because I have short arms. I scrunch up a good amount of toilet paper, then I wipe front to back starting just below my vag-gaga, never touching the parts that you shouldn’t wipe.

I’m also Gen X and going through menopause. The worst part for me is the night sweats. I wake up 1-5 times a night SOAKING WET. You don’t sleep good anyway and then to be woke up drenched in sweat all night. It makes you so tired all the time. Also it’s almost impossible to loose weight. Your skin (all over your body) gets so dry and your hair. The list goes on and on. I hope everyone has an easier Menapause than I’m having ❤

Quick menopause fact! It is a depletion of hormones and your body's inability to create enough new hormones. Hormone tests (DUTCH test) and hormone replacement therapy sorts that out, you don't need to worry about it😁❤

The conversation about menopause. I have a strange insight. When I was young, I never had any period symptoms at all. At nearly sixty, I most certainly am menopausal, but I never had a single symptom. I think there’s a correlation for sure. I wonder if there’s any scientific evidence to support that.
