I made it and the family loved it. I had a half can of plain tomato sauce in the fridge I threw in because it needed used and I also added a little salt, garlic powder, and plenty of herbs. It turned out great

I have made that same dinner since I was 10 years old, but I add a cup of tomato or v8 juice and I use sharp cheddar cheese..I called it HALLOWEEN DINNER great for the kiddos to have a quick hot meal, before heading out for Tricks or Treats..still make it for HALLOWEEN and I am 74..

Looks great! Don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, but If you add 1/2 cup of the water the pasta cooked in when you lower the heat and simmer for 10 mins it will bring that sauce together nicely.

I made this last weekend and I ate it all myself!!! I live alone, & I love to cook. & Everyone is on salt free fat free diets. Not me. I made this, & ate normal size portions each day til it was gone!! Other recipes, like that beef with thyme & mushrooms... Something like that, I'll freeze 1/2 & the rest I'll share later. Oh, yeah! This really looks tasty. To keep food from sticking to foil, just put a tiny bit of oil on the inside of the foil before covering. Nothing sticks when you remove the foil.

It was delicious! All I had was hot sausage but put Italian seasoning on it while cooking. Also used the diced tomatoes with pepper in it and small can of tomato sauce it was fabulous my family absolutely lived it!!!

Years ago I used to make pizza casserole. One layer of cooked penne, sprinkled cooked hamburger, green pepper chopped, onion chopped and one layer of pepperoni laid over the top. Lastly, mozzarella cheese, then I would repeat this process, three layers in all. I would bake at 350 for 30 minutes. One of my families' favorites.

I love one pan dishes like that. I make a similar dish using ground chicken or turkey olive oil, season with homemade taco seasonings and chop in sundried tomatoes, black olives or capers, grate parmesan and mozzarella in between layering, bake. 😉
