You can easily improve it by installing the 2020 on the middle 3090 slot. That way the wood planks would sit lower and when you put the mattres in, it'll be surrounded by 3-4 cm of aluminium and will not slide out of bed. small detail that will improve the confort and make it much more practical for whomever is moving a lot on the bed.
This was a very insightful video. Actually it leads to other ideas for me, especially an outside seating bench for myself and my wife Thank you. 🙏🏻👍😎. I’m from Australia and we are following the American trend of getting heavier. How do we build functional designs that can take different weights.

Metal shops can probably order it for you. I know the max length by post is 8 ft. It could not be bigger than that on a bed. However, if you are going to put a foot support or wheels in the middle, might as well cut that long piece in half. Easier to break down for moving day as well.

I wish the narrator didn't read word-for-word. It's evident that the person writing the script isn't a native English speaker. Hearing a fluent English speaker (the narrator) read broken English is rather jarring. Or maybe pass the script through GPT-4 and say "make this sound like it was written by a fluent English speaker". Hell, if you do that you could just input your native language. Anyway, very cool project as always.

Music + robot voice + incessant advertising voice = viewers running away. You have a good channel. Keep sound natural. Add no robot voice. Remove ALL MUSIC!!!! Give the viewer some peace while they are concentrating on the build. None of us want music and incessant jabbering. If I turn off all sound, it is unnatural. So frustrating to visit your channel. Cool but looks like cash burnt for no reason. This is a regular furniture you can find for 100 bucks. 4meters of 3090 aluminum extrusion is already 100 dollars or more. It's about 300 dollars of material I guess. And it doesn't look good IMO. I don't think anyone would want this kind of design in their home. It would have been cool to use this kind of framing to make something that is actually usefull and not available on the market. Like a bed that is 2 meter tall with high storage capacity underneath.

Alright, still thanks for the watch!

On the contrary. The design belongs in the Museum of Modern Art. This is very beautiful. It is functional, elegant, breaks down easily for moving day, and will last forever with zero degradation. Yes, it costs a lot more in materials but a lot less in labor. Building this in wood you have huge labor costs and need lots more tools, it is heavier, and you finishing labor and materials cost too. Furthermore, on Moving Day, good luck if it does not fall apart, hard to reassemble. Furthermore this material is lightweight and strong. RV beds should be made from this. The same volume in wood would weight far more. Weight and strength are important in van builds. This is a gorgeous bed in my not so humble opinion.
