@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
@@hbogielski I really like dishie yarn a lot! I’m not a huge fan of the sugar and cream yarn either. My go to cotton yarn is the hobby lobby I love this cotton, but dishie is probably second. For the 24/7 cotton, I personally wasn’t a huge fan. It wasn’t bad to work with, but I just didn’t care for it. It felt a little too stiff to me, so I wouldn’t use it for a washcloth. That’s just my opinion though.

@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
Thank you! You should be working in both loops of the stitch. Keeping your stitches a little more loose will help as well as sometimes the slip stitches can be tricky. Hope that helps!
@Vmurph Жыл бұрын
@@AmandaCrochetsthe Half Double results in what looks like THREE loops (front, top, and back). Only two of them are the real ones though. The top one is obvious, so she’s asking which *other* one goes with it. The answer is the BACK one. So the top + back are the two loops that the hook goes in.

Im still struggling with my tension and it frustrates me to think I may never get my tension right. Im a tight crocheter does it have to do with my dishcloth not coming out the same length and width each time?!
@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
Your tension definitely plays a part. I suggest going up a hook size and trying to keep your stitches loose. That should help a little with getting your project the size you want. Over time, and with practice, your tension should ease up a bit. When I first learned how to crochet, my stitches were so tight that I couldn’t insert my hook. I don't want to offend you but I also don't want people to learn the wrong stitch names. It would be very confusing. Maybe you learned it differently so maybe you can search for the moss stitch and see what I mean. It does make a lovely dish cloth. ✌🏻😻🧶
