And even if she was just that ignorant, she’s been an adult her entire career, there’s no excuse. Trisha is just an example that if you're rich and white you can get away with pretty much anything. Yes she's mentally ill. Doesn’t mean she should ever be excused for all the racist,and problematic things she's done. And with her having recently collabed with Jeffree (who also has an extremely racist history,and stays being so) it's evidence she hasn't changed. Saying "I'm sorry" doesn't fix it.And if Trisha weren't a pretty white woman no one would argue and defend her nearly as much. Let's not forget she pretended to have DID for views and then bullied someone who actually had it. That's unacceptable,and I genuinely think people who are "conflicted" about her just aren't affected by the things she's done and so can keep overlooking her glaringly awful history.

So for example, saying you like someone's outfit when you don't. and its already too late to change. - a fib: a miscommunication, misremembering or just a completely accidental lie.

i don’t know, i’m probably biased here, but i really think she was misdiagnosed as schizophrenic at first. that’s actually way more common than you’d think, because a lot of disorders like that can cause hallucinations. I was hospitalized and misdiagnosed as schizophrenic when I was 15 due to simultaneous manic and sewersideal behavior, but especially because I was having visual and auditory hallucinations of plates and dishes flying off the cabinets and slamming into the wall. The hallucinations and my family history were the only indicators of schizophrenia, other than that i was very clearly having a mixed manic depressive episode. After years of medication not working, or making things worse, I started looking into other diagnoses myself. I brought the symptoms up to my doctor and my therapist and they gave me a few tests and agreed that I have Bipolar I, not schizophrenia. Which also runs in my family. I know it is super common for minors to be misdiagnosed until they’re adults because doctors don’t like diagnosing children as bipolar, but a lot of it also has to do with mental health work being a fairly new field. Schizophrenia has been studied a lot longer than BD has, and BPD is an especially new diagnosis, many people don’t even know there’s a difference between Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar Disorder. And sadly, things like BD, BPD, ADHD, Autism, etc. are often misdiagnosed as schizophrenia.

There were also recent interviews she had talking about her being diagnose and she keeps flip flopping about her symptoms. I don't think she was even diagnosed as schizo since she has said that she self-diagnosed.

Either she’s a mad genius that plans this shit or she’s just saying whatever comes to mind and goes along with it for the joyride. Either way it’s extremely successful.

9:39 I genuinely don’t see how someone could “have a hard time judging her behavior.” Her words and actions have intentionally crossed lines in such extreme ways and so frequently that nothing she could say or do would redeem her in my eyes barring some sort of seismic shift in her behavior. Anything good that she might have done in her life does not outweigh the disgusting and offensive things she is saying and doing on a constant, regular basis. Genuinely what are you trying to achieve with this video? Why are you trying to paint her with a morally grey brush? That fact that you felt the need to make a video arguing that we should view her with sympathy and nuance is actually insane to me. The fact that this is the kind of person you felt the need to rehabilitate makes me question your judgement and values.

i have such conflicting feelings about trisha cause on one hand i watch her podcast for the entertainment and like many other ppl i think her story is pretty inspiring how low and mentally unstable she was plus addicted to pills and meth and actually made the effort to do therapy and get herself healthy for her children, and from what we see online she seems to be a pretty good mom. I think I empathize with that since i went through something kinda similar with my mental health & drug use. I also appreciate how she continually says she understands if people still hate her for her past actions and that it’s completely valid. Like going through one major traumatic event after another non stop for 30+ years is gonna have a lasting affect on your brain function & memory. In my mind she’s like the new wendy williams like she has just given us so many iconic memes and moments that have made social media a fun place sometimes (if that makes sense?) BUTTTTT i also just can’t shake the allegations against moses and the domestic violence thing, you can’t just look past something like that, it’s always in the back of my mind when i consume her content. Idk it’s like one foot in the door for me with her.

She tried meth once and pop pills occasionally. She posts every freakin day on KZbin and you see what she does every freaking day shopping, doing mukbangs, and driving around LA. I don't think an addict can even function like that.

On the SA thing, I always believe victims, and tbh given all the other things we KNOW happened to Trisha in her youth (stripping, prostituting, being sexually harassed by her moms bf), I would not be surprised if it happened. And maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm also not shocked if she wasn't informed on very basic things like the holocaust. If she was experiencing trauma at such a young age, and placing value on celebrity more than school, she may have genuinely not been absorbing what we'd consider very surface level information in.
@Imaginary_Friend_Күн бұрын
the only downside to this is that shes been caught in her own lies, specifically about SA many times, and yes, i also always side with the victims, but when the victim has a track record of lying specifically about SA, it hard to know what to believe

Trisha has done a lot to really make her life and mental better before and after having her babies. She has been staying out of drama now more than ever and has been really changing herself for the better. She has even said she used to troll a lot and she loved the attention. She does realize the stuff that she has done and even was talking with Dr.Drew recently in her podcast about her mental issues as well as loving the attention from people whether it is good or bad. One thing that realllyyy made me realize she had changed was the whole Colleen situation. I am sadly one of those people that really was excited about their podcast together and she was just so excited to be putting her whole heart into something then the bad stuff happened and she could’ve reacted very bad like she used to but she took her time to go through her feelings and talked about it in a very mature way. I think her husband Moses realllyy has helped her immensely if you watch her with him you can tell he is very calm and listens and really cares for her.

I will say someone with bpd I see a lot of characteristics. Self sabotage, when she’s going off the rails and spilling to much on other info and being super angry is splitting behavior, wondering about her identity is a lost sense of self, the tik Tok with Moses regarding the “toxic trait trend” this is real stuff I’m no way excusing her behavior but it’s a real thing. I think you did such a good job going through this. She is problematic and not totally like supportive of her but I will also say my heart hurts for her because I get the struggles and I hope the best for her

As someone with borderline I think... when u don't know what u have it makes it incredibly hard to fix. I'm a different borderline then Trisha I believe whoes personality makes her more of a loud bpd while I grew up a quiet bpd. But basically if she didn't know she had bpd it's near impossible to fix or know where to even start. I fell down a huge rabbit hole of self harm before finally sewing a doctor a therapist and going on meds. And it took alot STILL to recover and learn new pathways through my emotions and behavior. Trisha behavior and bpd is a result of her brain trying to protect her as a child. It knows nothing else until she teaches herself new stuff. Her brain wired itself to protect her. Now it needs to carefully be rewired She's still responsible for her actions but it's not black and white. It's very Grey.

i think the thing that's forgotten is how much mental health awareness has been prevalent in the upbringing of Gen Z. For people like Trish, the stories aren't consistent because their trauma comes up AS they start to do the work. Older generations don't have the privilege of having grown up with such nuanced conversations that surround Gen Z (Which, I know, is a privilege and s curse). Questioning the legitimacy of her trauma is just simply something I'll never do because of this.

About the whole "mental illness is not an excuse" thing, while it is true, its also a very nuanced. Mental illnesses can cause people to make weird and terrible decisions, and we have to acknowledge that and have understanding for people who, under no fault of their own, do bad or hurtful things. However. There are some things which are simply inexcusable, even in crisis. Murdër, assault etc. And for lesser terrible actions, accountability is incredibly important. That's part of the problem with Trisha, oftentimes she doesn't acknowledge the damage she has caused. She says stupid, hurtful, awful things and then just moves on. Even if those actions are or were fueled by her BPD, she has to take responsibility for the fact she did do them. We can give her the benefit of the doubt, but when she, or any person, knowingly continues to engage in hurtful behavior and never takes a moment to say 'i was unmedicated and struggling a lot at the time, but those decisions were still my own, i am sorry and i will do better', while not truly changing then yes. Her mental health is just a reason, not an excuse.
@picklegurrl21 күн бұрын
I have such a hard time with this, as someone whose best friend had bipolar. I knew her before, then I knew her when it happened and she completely changed and started saying racist things, like insane things, she started running away from home thinking her family was going to kill her, and then she got help and returned to a new normal. And we were told as her support system that she 1. Wouldn't remember a lot of what happened, which is true she didn't. And that 2. We should not remind her. In Trisha's case, tho it's not the same, I try to look at who she is right now. Is she actively harming communities since her psychotic break (her words) after frenemies ended. It's not to excuse her behavior, she's done awful things, but I also do see someone trying their best now. People can say "well she was an adult" all they want, but if she was an adult on drugs, with a severe mental health crisis that lasted years, she's responsible for not receiving that help and yes for the things she did. But it doesn't seem fair to make it so black and white. And given the mental health, it's hard to tell if she even holds those harmful ideologies.
