Matt, thanks for the video. I just picked up acoustic guitar again and Amazing Grace is what I'm learning to play. I've seen the G, D, A7 chord setup for the song, but I notice you encourage the G, C, D chords instead. Since I don't know, is C easier to play than A7? When I've tried A7, it's harder for me to play right now at the beginning stage.

Hay Matt Awsome teaching neighbor, let me ask you , I like the thought of practicing with your locked in 4 chord style for simplified practice, but won't this keep me in a more stagnant style of chord progression or just do this and keep on working on normal chords so I can play songs quicker, can you give me some thoughts here or Maybee evin a video on this thought, God bless,thank you

I just watched your Crazy train exercise and you A isn't what I learned either. The most frustrating part of trying to learn guitar being older is that no two people describe how to play guitar the same way. I think I know what a scale is, or a chord or the major/minor then I will see 50 different variations in which none are the same. Then I see people showing completely different finger/string placement for open chords A, D etc. I am about 4 mos in and I feel like I have yet to learn a basic open chord becuase everyone's is completely different. Nothong adds up or goes together. I am so close to giving up. This is not fun, lol
