Hi Kenan, you said you wanted a Husky. I can tell you that they are a great dog. I have 2 of them. I rescued 1 last year she is 3 years old now and I got a boy that was 8 weeks old when I got him and is about 1 and half years old now. They are both red and white. He has blue eyes and she has 1 blue eye and one green eye. I love their blue eyes! They are great dogs. Good luck with your dog search.

Kenan getting a dog will be so beneficial, they do not say mans best friend for no reason, so smart you can teach them a lot obviously and a husky having separation anxiety will be not fun but you being home with the animals all the time, he or she would be the best dog for you the kids and the kamp. Train em to guard and bark if they see anything out of the ordinary like predators, I see nothing but benefits I think u should do it.

I loved my Golden, but he liked to move my tutoises (testudo hetmanii) in the garden and always tried to steel their food. No i have a cavalier king charles and he enjoys taking a sunbath with them and observing them while they try to bite his paws...

My first dog was part Siberian husky and I have to say please, please, please do not get one. Their thick coats will make them feel awful in the Florida weather. They have zero recall and will run and roam, and a husky will be gone in a split second in your large, open property. Huskies have an incredibly high prey drive and a ton of energy, meaning they'll be chewing on your tortoises all of the time. These issues with huskies are not a of matter training. You can't teach a husky not to do these things. You can't exercise them to the point of exhaustion and obedience. These traits are programmed into a husky.

Am with you on this. I would go for a retriever type dog. Great with kids. Loyal Soft mouthers .... If the did get hold of reptile unlikely to kill by puncturing. They are bred to bring stuff back in one bit. You can take out on bike rides.

May I suggest an Australian Cattle Dog... Smart but easy to train, adaptable to all kinds of weather perfect size to be around the camp. And hell they are from Oz.

Heard you say Husky for your dog type, love them but not in Florida heat. I recommend go to shelter look for short coat breed like boxer. Foot with kids and other animals lower pray drive.

I love rhino iguanas. So much personality. But you guys are totally right about their bites. I got six stitches from a 13 yr old female leaping and grabbing onto my forearm and taking a good bite out of my arm. I love that iguana, but dang they are food motivated. 100% the females are the super aggressors.

Yessssss your going to love that dog. It took me 10 years of begging to get my mom to let me and my sister have a dog. My mom now feeds my dog steak off a fork. I recommend big dogs like a lab, German shepherd or something like that. I don’t like the little yippie ones.

I'd consider a blue (or red) heeler, Kenan. They're generally robust, can have unusually long lifespans and are highly intelligent. Plus they make great biking and training partners and will be loving towards all family members. But what I feel.is just as important is having it acclimate around strangers as young as possible so it won't become too possessive of you or family. Like reptiles, daily exposure and handling can come a long way and can be rewarding in the end. But whatever you choose, purebred or mutt, I'd even look to Joseph the Mink Man as to how he can cohabitate his dogs with Raptor as a good example. Best of luck, dude!

Keenan, I need your help. My husband and I were visiting in Boca, last week and I caught a lizard that definitely wasn't a native dude. He's been identified as a Mop head Iguana... But I can't find a whole lot of specific information about them. By what I have seen, they live like iguana, climb trees like warm humid and some veggies, but also mostly a "bearded dragon diet" with bugs and stuffs.... Is that right? This little guy is super cool and I'm in love. He is a neat addition to our family, I also have 3 Sulcatas.

Just a warning with the husky's: They have a lot of energy and they need consistent excersize and a very consistent training. But with that they are great dogs. Just make sure you know what you are up for.

Yeah I would not recommend a husky for inexperienced people. They're working dogs. And as kenan always talks about evolution and genes, unless you're planning to really work with them it could become a problem. If you want a pet dog to cuddle and play with there are plenty breeds that are more appropriate.

if someone gets a husky you know the really love dogs if they have more than one they REALLY loves dog lmao. I recently adopted a Alikta/Siberian husky/ GS/Alaskan malumet. and wow. Love her to death. husky’s are NOT for everyone.

@@matthewtracy8720 Sadly I disagree. I know too many people who took a husky "because they look pretty" but didn't actually have the resources to care for one. We had one in our neighbourhood that was constantly very stressed out and soon became agressive to everything that moved. So sad to see. Such a waste of a dog live.

Kenan what ever you do get that Husky dog trained. They are a handful unless properly trained especially around small kids. My cousin had one they let it loose on the farm and it ate the family Cat! Her Dad wasn't at all happy
