Gearbox Housing is an 8 speed unit, as evidenced by the 4 rail holes at top rear of the housing. The manufacturing machinery is presumeably from Massey Ferguson at the former Banner Lane Plant, on the outskirts of Coventry. A very sad day indeed for British Industry, when Agco chose to shut this British site, as opposed to the Beauvais Plant, in France. Not just lost jobs at the factory itself, but at all the numerous supply industries to the factory too.

I'm impressed. While this is old school it's a logical way to make good quality parts with minimal investment. It's much different from the usual crap made in Pakistan factories.
